If Palin has her hand out I’m done with her. Period.

“The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, planned to meet in Washington this weekend with Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and other senators to press for her state’s share of the package.”

States receive federal money every year so I guess you could say every governor has had his/her hand out every year. I guess there is no one to vote for.

"The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, planned to meet in Washington this weekend with Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and other senators to press for her state's share of the package."

"Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, a former member of the House, said he would accept the stimulus money but would have voted against the bill if he were still in Congress. Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, a former chairman of the Republican National Committee, said he wasn't sure whether he would accept the approximately $3 billion his state would be in line for."

It is not clear if she supports the package, or like Jindal is willing to take her share if it passes but opposes it.

Here, this might put your mind at ease.
This is what she wrote her fellow Congressman and Senators

She is after the Infrastructure Component of the bill, nothing else

She's being pummeled by Alaska Democrats for not seeking more money. Don't believe all this propaganda.

Palin, other state leaders at odds over stimulus funds

Lawmakers say there are concerns that Palin is seeking too little federal stimulus money, and Alaska may not get its fair share.
She's only requested $150 million for 4 gasline-related projects and 1 project to upgrade the Kodiak missile battery. Furthermore from the above article:
Palin issued her list on Jan. 12, saying it would not be a good idea to ask for more, and cautioned it was necessary to be "mindful about the effect of the stimulus package on the national debt."
This is just another lame MSM attempt to divide and conquer with Palin as a juicy target with her being in DC this weekend. Don't fall for it. That doesn't mean that a buch of RINO governors don't have their hands out. Unfortunately they do.

“If Palin has her hand out I’m done with her. Period.”

I seem to remember that she told the Alaska legislators that they were well prepared for the downturn and are doing just fine, thank you.

In other words, if this is true, she once again has showed far, far more judgement, ability, and leadership than the entire house, senate, the Obamaloon/Clinton collection, and our MSM (bottom of the SAT group).

Figures.

There's two sides to this. If Palin is saying this gigantic pork package should be passed, she is VERY wrong. If she's saying that Alaska should get a proportionate share if the money if America loses and the bill is passed, then that's pretty much her job. If the people of Alaska, and their children, and their grandchildren have to pay back the $819B plus interest, then they should get their share of the meager benefits from the massive fraud, waste, and abuse that Obama/Pelosi are pushing through.

Your emphatic defense of conservative principles is good.

But if I may, I would like to suggest that people not be so ready to dismiss Sarah Palin.

Last fall, Palin’s genuine conservative ideology won the support of huge numbers of voters across the nation. Do not underestimate her conservatism or her potential.

Sarah Palin has demonstrated, with years of consistent efforts, that she will actively fight against corruption—the very thing that turns a conservative into a RINO.

Palin and her ideological contemporaries are the best weapons with which to beat back and defeat the hideous onslaught of socialism. The socialists know this and will continue to fool the media into waging war against Palin on multiple fronts.
