Suspicions confirmed.

Over the years I have studied and had the honor of sitting at the feet of luminaries such as Virginia Satir, Buckminister Fuller, Richard Bandler, Leslie Camron-Bandler and others - I was on a personal mission to learn outside of the conventional “education system” in the 70s-80s and 90s.

Amongst insight, their teaching fined tuned my calibration and ability to enhance my personal BS detector.

I attended the protest at St. Mary’s College the other night NOT realizing that the general public would be allowed to enter the Soda Center and witness the Bill Ayers session. So without a recording device (Damn!) - I got in.

Ayers is very good at what he does. He defused the majority of protestors stating that he would answer all questions no matter how long it took after his presentation. (Licking chops and respectfully most waited - we got sucked in - it did not happen with mikes on and only for a few minutes before he bugged out).

I have to say the man is an eloquent speaker and thinker. (so were other monsters of history).

What he said about educational reform and his take on Obama’s Foreign Policy thinking sounded like Utopia. And to the students and uneducated about the truth of his former acts he seemed a brilliant reformer - and they got sucked in as well.

To me his rhetoric was a well veiled justification for his activities of domestic terrorism twisted into personal values and the need to act.

It will be no surprise to Lizards that what he spoke of is dangerous, unattainable (without becoming a Socialist/Communist entity), and will cost many American (and other) lives on the road to what he, Obama and Code Pink are working for.

The news today reporting his executive actions over the last few days supports my conclusions.

I was stunned at what he said. Had he spoken out as he did at St. Mary’s during the race for the White House - we would have elected a carrot; Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck rather than Obama. (I’m thinking that the majority would have seen thru the BS and rhetoric. I could be wrong.)

We all have work to do.

This is a portion of an email Ayers sent in April 2006 to “a Young Comrade in Latin America” who had some questions about the weather underground:

“We were influenced by Marx, but we were formed more closely and precisely by Che, Ho, Malcolm X, Amlilcar Cabral, Mandela—the Third World revolutionaries—and we called ourselves small “c” communists to indicate our rejection of what had become of Marx in the Soviet Block and the other doctrinaire, authoritarian state socialisms. We were anti-authoritarian, anti-orthodoxy, communist street fighters.”

The rest of the email is more of the same unrepentant BS. I salute all who show up where ever this scum speaks and let’s the sponsers know that they screwed up by inviting him.

I'm afraid you are. Critical thinking skills were removed from the public school curriculum, as well as most major colleges a long time ago.

Those of us (like you) who actually analyze what we read and hear are dinosaurs.

Bill Ayers apparently fancied himself a novelist at some point (well, I guess he was, with his major work being Barry’s “autobiographies”), and is used to making convincing, harmless and idealistic sounding speeches. He has been an academic for many years and is comfortable in that environment, warping young minds.

His program is very radical, but of course he follows the advice of his mentor, Saul Alinksy, very closely and cloaks it in such generalities and glowing rhetoric that it slips in almost unexamined. The point is not to alarm people until it’s too late.

Ayers obviously regards himself as a star and a personality; he wouldn’t have done things like the Esquire interview, for example, if he didn’t. He would probably have been the one running for president (he’s very powerful in Chicago politics) had it not been for the fact that even he thought that people might find his background unacceptable for a president. So he found a puppet, and he has been running Barry - who has a massive ego but no ideas of his own - for decades, ever since they went to Columbia. The fact that he had the usual “revolutionary” admiration for blacks and even the desire to be black (which I think he mentions in one of his own books) probably added to his reasons for picking Obama, in addition to the fact that Obama has a sociopathic and amoral personality combined with a ruthless desire to see himself in a position of power.

I don’t think we’ll ever see a conflict between those two. I don’t think we’ll see Ayers much at all, in fact, or at least not officially.

As for whether people would have seen through Obama if he said all the things that Ayers, his mentor, is saying today - I doubt it. Some of Obama’s speechifying was probably written by Ayers and had those same general features, and people didn’t see through that.

That wouldn't surprise me. Ayers and people like him are excellent rationalizers. It allows them to promote ideas which will be extremely harmful to many people, in order to create a world they see as better for everyone. Since Ayers and his buddies have already harmed so many, all the more crucial to believe their actions were then, justified.

Thank you for the summary. It would have been interesting to have been there.
