after a surprisingly partisan vote in the House

Sorry, journalists - it was BI-PARTISAN on the NO vote. Only went along PARTISAN lines for the YEA. Tell the whole story.

“Obama seeks GOP help for recovery bill”

That is a LIE. They only seek cover for their actions.

This is classic Orwellian Doublespeak.

No matter how hard they try to spin this, the fact remains that the “no” vote was bipartisan and the “yes” vote was entirely partisan. The Great Unifier’s honeymoon is over almost before it began.

He wants some cover from the Republicans. It was the same thing with the illegal amnesty bill last year. The Dems could have passed it, and Bush would have signed it, but they didn’t want to get all the blame.

And, closer to home, it was the same thing with the Paulson bailout bill. The Dems could have past that, but a number of key congressional leaders actually voted against it, until the REpublicans were persuaded to get on board. They wanted it to look like Bush’s bailout bill.

The talk now is that they’ll get enough Republicans on board by offering them a share of the pork, instead of taking it all for themselves. Remains to be seen if the Republicans will bite.

No matter what happens, remember it will always be spun as the fault of the GOP.

The GOP is the always partisan party, not the Dems.

Remember, BHO is being gracious by offering the GOP the opportunity to support the bill.

I guess it’s wishful thinking to hope all Senate Republicans hold strong against this special-interest-payoff bill like the House GOP’ers did.

The Dems, led by the Obamessiah and St. Pelosi, got their bill passed by the House with a 100% PARTISAN vote. The bipartisan vote was AGAINST their bill.

The question of whether or not there is a partisan culture, dominant in Washington, when injected into debate over any so-called "Stimulus Bill," is a monstrous "red herring." We are about to complete the destruction of the American Dollar as a First World, Reserve Currency. The process that Roosevelt started in 1933, is about to be completed, and with its completion will go one of the two principal motivations for our even having a Federal Government of the United States. Rooted Americans are losing their means to pass forward their material achievements from one generation to the next, and the media calls this sort of silly pap, about partisanship, "analysis."

The February Feature at my website deals with some of the effects of what is going on in the context of basic monetary theory: The Function Of Money--A Medium Of Exchange.

What is coming will make the "staginflation" of the 1970s look like a dispensation devoutly to be wished for, by comparison.

I love the way Rush put it>

The only bipartisan portion of it was the opposition to it.

Absolutely. Ms. Nancy's 'secret' memo on the vote had this beginning line: "The House Republican Leadership put its Members in another politically untenable position yesterday ..."

LOL. If Nancy believed this was true, she would be giddy, not panicked.

Stand strong Republicans. Here's the money quote from another article:

"What Member can't go back his or her District and explain: Rather than voting for a bloated bill, ... I voted for an alternative that would create twice the jobs at half the cost, and faster?" a House Republican leadership aide said. "That's why we didn't lose a single Republican and picked up 11 Democrats."

Just say NO.

Bite it, Zero. The GOP gains nothing by helping you and loses nothing by opposing you.

The GOP should hold a press conference on the Capitol steps and announce the only assistance Zer0 will see from them is when he scraps this rotten excuse for a “stimulus” plan and go with Rush’s 54-46 concept. Nothing less will do. Yes, the ‘rats may be able to ramrod it through by sheer numbers, but the GOP has nothing to lose by telling the libtard dems to go it alone, thus facing the consequences of its failure alone.

Wishful thinking on Mccain going against it - Here’s what McCain said

“It’s just the old spending practices of liberal Democrats. So I hope we will be able to sit down and negotiate, but right now I cannot vote for the stimulus package, as it’s been presented,” said Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona.http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/01/27/obama.stimulus/index.html

Note the words “right now” and “as it’s been presented” and especially “sit down and negotiate” which McCain always means as “reaching across the aisle”.

He should be thrown out of the GOP.
