If President Obama is hoping to change the tone in Washington, it's hard to imagine how having Eric Holder onboard as his attorney general will help accomplish that goal.
Much has been written about would-be Attorney General Holder's support for liberal positions, but little has been written about his visceral contempt for conservatives.
His public utterances are chock full of the same old tiresome liberal clichés about those on the right one might find on the Daily Kos website.
The president's bilious nominee told an American Constitution Society gathering in 2004 that "conservatives have been defenders of the status quo, afraid of the future, and content to allow to continue to exist all but the most blatant inequalities." They have "made a mockery of the rule of law." Conservatives try to "put the environment at risk for the sake of unproven economic theories, to play to the fears of our citizens, and not to their hopes, and to return the nation to a time that in fact never existed."

Alamo time if he makes it.
You know how they justified taking Elian? They revoked guardianship of his uncle, declared him to be an illegal alien (go figure huh), seized him, reinstated refugee status and gave him to his father.
“....his visceral contempt for conservatives...”
that about covers all of the members of this congress and administration from he**.
one has only remember that mr. imanuel expressed his contempt for republicans by saying that “they can go and f’k themselves”. he and all the rest of them “can go and f’k themselves” with the same vigor they wished on conservatives/republicans.”
IMHO
A nation that never was?
Oh, does he mean the nation that used to be where the majority went to church and synagogue, learned the 10 Commandments, were executed if they committed murder, or jailed if they committed theft? When the majority of young girls remained virgins until they were married, like my mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, so there was no need for abortion? When men were chivalrous and held doors open for ladies? That world? Oh, sure, it never existed. Eric Holder says so, so it must be true.

Lou Dobbs last night, his segment on the Obama administration restricting gun rights.
“...conservatives have been defenders of the status quo, afraid of the future, and content to allow to continue to exist all but the most blatant inequalities.”
LiberalSpeak for people who embrace their own national traditions of enormous longstanding, and who deride the sort of One World, United Nations, Marxist government desired by Utopian Socialists. Lenin and Stalin intended much the same thing when they coined the term “reactionary elements.” Strange that, after being rejected as an utter and colossal failure by the Soviet Uniuon, Communist China, Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge, and Vietnam, Holder is advocating the very same failed political philosophy for the United States. The results, of course, are predictable for anyone who has not completely ignored the lessons of history - increasing government coercion and deepening economic disaster.
