side note?: In my public school days, Mothers/Fathers were not encouraged to visit and participate in school days/programs but did so voluntarily (volunteers, where have I heard that recently mentioned?)
I look back now at the ‘embarrassment’ of having to go to my teachers house for dinner (I didn’t know how fortunate I was).
