MSNBC's O'Donnell Begs Congressman to Denounce Rush Limbaugh

President Barack Obama wants congressional Republicans to stop listening to Rush Limbaugh. MSNBC's chief Washington correspondent Norah O'Donnell even asked one congressman to take it a step further.

In an interview with House Republican Conference Chairman Rep. Mike Pence, Ind., which aired on MSNBC Jan. 28, O'Donnell referenced the well-known radio host and asked if Pence agreed with him. O'Donnell quoted Limbaugh as saying, "We have to hope Obama succeeds, that we have to bend over, grab the ankles, bend over forward, backward whichever because his father was black, because this is the first black president."

Instead of echoing Obama's response to Limbaugh and urging Pence to ignore the talk show host, O'Donnell asked Pence to denounce the talk radio king.

Getting wierder everyday. One member of the media, instead of pointing out where he thinks Rush is wrong, asked a congressman to “denounce” another member of said media.

Norah O’Donnell lives in Washington, D.C., and her husband owns a restaurant there. Can you imagine what her social life and his business would be like if she were a conservative? She’s no fool, that one: she sees the expedient thing to do and she does it.

Man, they sure are worried about a guy that they say they are not worried about aren't they. Obama said some time back that “Rush was an entertainer.” That he listened to Rush some times (sure, right you do Osama), and that he was a showman, thus not to be taken seriously. I guess the Chosen One has changed his tune.

These people are pushing things way too far. What country do they think they live in? Better yet, what gives them the right to tell us who to listen to and what to think?

I remember that comment by O about Rush just being an entertainer. Time to remind O and his minions.

I'm sure Mike Pence won't read this, but I would like to thank him for not giving a mealy mouth Republican answer. An answer that a John McCain would have given:

"Look Norah, we can all agree that this rhetoric from certain members of the right wing media isn't helpful at a time like this. Let's come together as the President has asked. We need to forge ahead in a bipartisan fashion to solve our nation's problems, and I intend to do just that. I will give our President all the help he needs."
