The White House is promising new reviews of the "obligations" to the government by broadcasters who "occupy the nation's spectrum" just as the president has targeted conservative talk radio icon Rush Limbaugh for a public attack, raising concerns over the possible restoration of the "Fairness Doctrine," a policy that failed as unneeded and unconstitutional two decades ago.
Paul Ibrahim of NorthStarWriters.com cited Obama's warning to congressional Republicans that "you can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done" in suggesting the president has become the "driving force" because a new "systematic" plan to "intimidate and demonize Obama's opponents."
That such a campaign was launched only days after Obama's inauguration is "tremendously perturbing," he wrote.
"Welcome to the politics of hope 'n' change. Obama's startling attempt to hang Limbaugh's scalp on the wall is a warning that the new ruler does not want unity he demands it," Ibrahim wrote.

Next: Rush will move to Bermuda and begin pirate radio broadcasts into the US from there. The Obaministration will try to jam him.
If you want to piss off over 20 million voters, go ahead!
“the new ruler does not want unity he demands it,” Ibrahim wrote.”
Eff him. He aint my ruler.

These liberals are going to try to go after Rush, let's be honest. If they do, they will rue the day!

We can’t listen to Rush.
We can’t have babies.
We must lower our standard of living to appease the rest of the world.
Yes Master, anything you say.
And the left will applaud this because the only information they want getting out is their point of view.

You know, that “poor people” and babies comment sets a bad stage.
Nazi’s wanted to limit certain segments of the population’s procreation as well.
I don’t think people realize the comparison to the Nazi regime. The White House may try to distance themselves from that part of the plan, but I doubt I’ll see a line item veto from them on it.
When and if Obama tries to implement the Fairness Doctrine, his statements deriding Rush Limbaugh will be Exhibit A in the lawsuit to have the government policy thrown out as an abridgement of free speech.
I thought Obama was supposed to be smart. In order to push through something like the Fairness Doctrine, he should know that he at least has to pretend to be acting impartially. If the very first thing he says after taking office is an attack on Rush Limbaugh, he is going to have a hard time pretending to be impartial.
I’ve argued for years — to the great annoyance of “modern liberals” — especially when they refer to American patriots and conservatives as Nazis, that today’s liberal democrats are almost line-by-line in agreement with the goals of the Nazi party.
“Liberal Fascism,” by Jonah Goldberg states the case in exacting detail.
It’s pretense that the funds for contraception will be removed from the ‘stimulus’ package.
Planned Parenthood will get billions of taxpayer money as will ACORN.
It doesn’t help that the history books repeatedly refer to the Nazi’s a “right wing” party.
They can’t comprehend that the Nazi Party stood for NATIONAL SOCIALIST PARTY, well in German, but you get the idea. It was a SOCIALIST PARTY.
We cannot trust SCOTUS will throw out unFairness Doctrine considering the robes allowed CFR.
This is not going to come down as a Fairness Doctrine. It is going to come down as a marketplace result. Watch the advertising dollars and what stations go out of business. They don’t need to legislate a doctrine anymore. In the days to come their new Organization(s) of Blue will manage these matters.
He won’t push through such a thing.
His Blueshirts will take care of it in the marketplace.
