Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- On the heels of President Barack Obama overturning a policy to stop taxpayer dollars from going to pro-abortion groups to promote abortions overseas, Congressional Democrats have loaded down the economic stimulus bill to send taxpayer funds to domestic abortion groups.
The Democrats' stimulus plan now includes a measure to send more public funds to the Planned Parenthood abortion business to find contraception and birth control.
Specifically, a provision in the legislation clears the way for expanded federal funding of contraceptives through Medicaid for those who aren't even poor.
A Clinton-era program allows states to seek a waiver to offer Medicaid “family planning” services -- including people who are not poor enough to qualify for Medicaid. If they seek the waiver, the federal government matches the state funding with $9 for every $1.
On Friday, when the House Energy & Commerce Committee considered the congressional Democrats’ spending bill, the committee eliminated the waiver requirement.
As a result, all 50 states will now offer Medicaid “family planning” services (including contraception) with the federal government offering the same $9 to $1 match. Although the money doesn't fund abortions directly, it goes to Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion business, which would otherwise have to spend its own money on contraception.
Pro-life advocates say the governmental funds frees up Planned Parenthood dollars to promote and perform abortions that it would otherwise have to spend on family planning.
House Republican Leader John Boehner told LifeNews.com he is dismayed about the inclusion of the provision.
"Regardless of where anyone stands on taxpayer-funding for contraceptives and the abortion industry, there is no doubt that this once little-known provision in the congressional Democrats’ spending plan has nothing to do with stimulating the economy and creating more American jobs," he said.
"How you can spend hundreds of millions of dollars on contraceptives – how does that stimulate the economy? You can go through a whole host of issues that have nothing to do with growing jobs in America and helping people keep their jobs," he added.
Boehner said that as more people learn about "this revelation about the congressional Democrats’ plans to force taxpayers to subsidize contraception and the abortion industry, the American people" will be upset.
Of course it does, the notion that Big Abortion is two businesses (abortion and contraception) and that funds are separated is absurd.

If we ended the automatic citizenship for anchor babies, there would be an immediate reduction in birth’s that the states have to pay for..change we could believe in.
I don’t know that I care anymore. Fine. Abort them. Face God and tell him it was your “choice”. I’ll protect my kids. You can kill yours. I just have too many other problems threatening my own family to have a coronary over someone ripping into their own. I know, I know, I’m a huge a-hole. I’ll have to live with that, I guess.

It is not without coincidence that Family Planning stood behind Obama, or that Obama now stands behind Family Planning.

This bill is unconstitutional, because it violates the 10th Amendment. The revolution can begin this month or next month, if we recruit conservative candidates, for the 2010 elections. In 2010, conservative candidates, for the U.S. Senate and House, should campaign together, similarly to the Contract with America. They should promise that, if Republicans regain control of both houses of Congress, they’ll pass a set of about five bills, including cutting tax rates to the 1988 rates, obeying the 10th Amendment (which includes repealing all federal laws that mention abortion and spending that isn’t mentioned in the Constitution), and building a brick wall along the Mexican border. Next month, many people will celebrate the 200th anniversary of Lincoln’s birth. That would be the perfect time to recruit more conservatives, into the republican party.
The “Economic Stimulus Bill” is nothing more than 0bama’s campaign financing expanded a hundredfold at taxpayer’s expense.
Employees of who? Pimps and drug dealers? Considering that most of these "planned parenthood" abortion clinics are in high crime black neighborhoods, It can be seen as an attempt by Obama to clean up the endless cycle of fatherless, single crack whore mother families, whose children are the next generation of pimps, crack whores and drug dealer/gangsta rappers.
He's secretly implementing a government funded and controlled genocide, cleaning up the streets of future Islamic neighborhoods, instead of leaving it up to the more traditional methods used in Islamic countries. The man's a visionary. /sarc
It's not up to God. It's up to the nation's people. A nation is governed by kings which reflect the faith and morality of it's people.
The further away from God the nation as a whole gets, the worse it's rulers become. It's one of those lessons taught throughout the bible as it tells the story of the rise and fall of early civilizations rulers.
"Death was not God's doing, he takes no pleasure in the extinction of the living. It was the devil's envy that brought death into the world." (Ws.1:12-15, 2:24).
While god Created the world, Satan corrupted it, which is why it's destined to end.
Jesus is our salvation out of it, and while the 'harvest' was good and faith was strong, the beast was kept at bay. but the harvest is near the end, and faith has diminished rapidly the whole world over, the beast is being released from it's chains, and the apocalypse is beginning.

Only a strong return to faith will prolong the inevitable, and provide us with better kings during the harvest. But 2012 or whatever time will come eventually.
