And while we’re at it, let’s just formally proclaim that the entire “priest molesting boys” issues was not a Catholic-church issue (except for covering up the attacks), but a “homosexual predator” issue.
The predatory priests are a perfect example of why families don’t want homosexual leaders in the Boy Scouts.
And while we’re at that, let’s also draw attention to the fact that there is an epidemic of pedophilia in our public school system.

correct I was in MA at that time when the story came out of the priests and during my time of watching the local news and national news they never mentioned it was a homo problem but a catholic church problem.

My view is that if a man rapes a boy then he is a homo seems the media and liberals view it much differently and so they do not add the stats of this to homo’s
The Novus Ordo / Vatican 2 sect was near the last institution to get so corrupted. Mind you this is not meant to appear as a casual post here. I am merely defending Catholicism. There was a small early wave from “seminarians” of early 1950’s almost exclusively associated with St. John’s Boston (Shanley) that did not manifest until hippie days and still then was restricted to adolescents and older males, many of whom were runaway druggies rolling around Boston and Cambridge Commons. Early 1970’s these predators (very limited in number) started practicing inside their parishes, but in what one can still call discretion. Early 70’s there saw new crop of sodomites - again very ,iimited- coming out of seminary and it was they who were bolder than their older leaders and went after the parish boys etc., triggering further range of Shanley’s peers mid-late 1970’s being earliest dates.
Project Monarch was earlier. I hesitate to say off hand here but it was at least going strong by mid 1960’s. Experimentation with LSD and mind control using adolescent children volunteered by military parents was approx a decade before Shanley I want to say. CIA Chief William Colby made this clear enough to Nebraska State Sen John DeCamp. If you haven’t already, just start looking into the Johnny Gosch scandal and keep going. Many vids on youtube now. Esp listen to the Rusty Nelson 2005 radio shows with deceased M Corbin (seemed healthy then sudden massive stroke 3/07) to see how extensive this despicable debauchery is.
