I've been looking and I haven't heard this mentioned yet. During the Obamunist coronation ceremony lefties Pete Seeger and Bruce Springsteen were singing "This Land is your Land."
To my utter shock and amazement, they actually brought out a verse that is hardly ever sung in public. This verse openly calls for the overthrow of private property.
Watch from 2:42 on the video, here are the lyrics:
There was a big high wall there that tried to stop me;
Sign was painted, it said private property;
But on the back side it didn't say nothing;
That side was made for you and me.
The crowd and the red chorus in the background gleefully sung along as the communists openly revealed their intentions.
Folks, we are in for a long road ahead.

"What else could one expect from a white middle class suburban kid who has tried to put across that he's some kind of street urchin who made good by struggling up from the gutter?"Not much.

“Communism doesn’t work because people like to own stuff.”
Communism doesn’t work because humans HAVE to own stuff to be human.
Stuff is an evolutionary extension of our bodies and minds. If you don’t own your stuff you don’t own your existence.
In case you haven’t been reminded lately:
Paychecks are private property and not government subsidies.
Most of you would defend your home and family with deadly force. But you won’t sacrifice much to defend your paycheck (your existence) against politicians and their thievery.

I am assuming that you use “you” in the most general sense.
One should never assume.

Lol, that could be a pretty interesting topic to ping to.
Not heavy volume, but interesting.

Yes, “you” in the most general sense, of course.

Mr. Blue Collar who is a multimillionaire with multiple houses, at least one of which is (or was) in Beverly Hills...singing about outlawing private property.As always, elitist moonbats do not consider themselves among the unwashed to whom the "rules" apply. Some animals are more equal than others.

I think these current singers, actors, etc are still trying to live in the ‘60s. Even though a lot of them were not around. But they pick up some kind of energy from it.
I’m a child of the ‘60s...but it’s getting pretty boring..between the Hollyweirds..singers...politicians...etc
It’s time to move on, imo.

I always preferred the version we sang on the playground:
This land is my land
It isn’t your land
I’ve got a shotgun
You haven’t got one
If you don’t get off
I’ll blow your head off
This land was made for only me.

1953 was a very good year, as that was my birth year also. My formative years were during the ‘60s. We share the same “teenhood”. Lots of angst musically and politically that is trying to be emulated by the ‘80s thru present. Ain’t gonna happen.
I like Zap..and he is still fun to listen to, no argument.
Driven around the block once or twice? You bet. Just makes us better drivers.
