PRESIDENT OBAMA TAKES ON RUSH LIMBAUGH IN NEW MEDIA WAR

WASHINGTON -- President Obama warned Republicans on Capitol Hill today that they need to quit listening to radio king Rush Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration.

"You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done," he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his nearly $1 trillion stimulus package.

One White House official confirmed the comment but said he was simply trying to make a larger point about bipartisan efforts.

"There are big things that unify Republicans and Democrats," the official said. "We shouldn't let partisan politics derail what are very important things that need to get done."

That wasn't Obama's only jab at Republicans today.

If this happens I see a new American Republic. No it won’t be the Confederacy.. Maybe it would be called the Allied States of America or the Federated States of America...

‘Ha, GO RUSH! He’s gotten under Lord Obamination’s thin skin!’

I think you are right...why else would he react this way.

Just think for a minute how petty a remark this is. Just absorb it.

This is supposedly the president of the United States of America. He’s picking a fight with a talk show host (although Rush is really a great deal more than that. He is our voice.)

He is telling people not to listen to a talk show host! Isn’t he supposed to be the great persuader? He waives his magic wand and speaks his magic oratory and exercises his enormous brain and people just fall into agreement with him, right?

The Big Zero is in way over his head.

Up your self-righteous 0-Hole you radical POS.

Oh yeah, Rush is the bad guy but Sweet Nancy and Nice Harry are A-O-K?

Those two don’t think, they KNOW they own the rules of this country and the things they say are stuff that would cause a civil war in many other countries.

Lets start using the Un-American label on all of these attacks from idiots like this now that Tom Hanks has pulled that one out.

I’m ready to rumble 0, lets go.

Rush Derangement Syndrome

Displacement - separation of emotion from its real object and redirection of the intense emotion toward someone or something that is less offensive or threatening in order to avoid dealing directly with what is frightening or threatening.

Odummer knows how to pass the fairness doctrine.
*****************************************************
This isn’t 1987 anymore ... Here’s how you beat the fairness doctrine ... radio station WXYZ upgrades to HD Radio so they now have their main signal and a HD subchannel (or maybe 2 HD subchannels) ,, cost is about $75,000 ,, then you simply open up the HD broadcast mike to whatever local college professor crackpot wants to have a show...

There wouldn’t have to be any interruption to the main broadcast signal,, the RATS get a free 24x7 broadcast that nobody listens to but they can’t say they don’t have equal time...

Rush truly is the last man standing.

He's a radio host.

There’s two ways to handle this fight. Stand toe to toe and give them no quarter. Or lay up against the ropes and hope hope they get tired of kicking the crap out of you. Every body has said it a million times. I would love to see them fail but the consequences are *hugh*.

We need to call for open and honest talks between our new President and Mr Limbaugh...I think we could all learn from more dialogue

"We shouldn't let partisan politics..."

Sounds like the new occupants of the White House have the same problem that we endure here on FreeRepublic; the misconception that conservatism is Republican and therefore partisan.

Here's a flash for the Obama team and Republicans on FR: Conservatism is non-partisan

I swear this skinny little punk is going to drive this nation to rebellion.

Hopefully. The alternative is for the People to Unconditionally Surrender.

“Monday will be FUNday listening to Rush, LOL!”

The Clinton years are gonna seem pretty tame before BHO is done (in four years)... BHO will be the best thing that ever happened to the Republican Party... McCain would have destroyed the Republicans by being bipartisan... BHO will unify the Republicans by being predictably partisan...

BHO’s new definition of bipartisanship... Bully the loyal opposition into submission...

God Bless Rush Limbaugh!!!!

Completely. You can only repeal an amendment by passing another (see Prohibition) and it would have to be ratified by the states. Not gonna happen.
