President Obama listened to Republican gripes about his stimulus package during a meeting with congressional leaders Friday morning - but he also left no doubt about who's in charge of these negotiations. "I won," Obama noted matter-of-factly, according to sources familiar with the conversation.

That’s not even the point of the “bailout’s.” They could care less what happens to the economy — it even helps him if the crisis deepen’s. He get’s to blame Bush... The goal is POWER. All this new government regulation, these programs and strings attached $$ give Washington is CONTROL. THAT’s what they’re after.

This guy is a joke, a joke on us. The really bad part is the GOP dopes think having a meeting wherein the president says I won is a good thing because he was open enough to point that out. What he was telling those dopes is hit the road. In fact, what he probably told them to do was something that I did not think was anatomically possible.
This will be a long painful ride and whether we survive it as a free solvent capitalistic country is clearly a long shot.
