Environmental guru slams carbon trading: 'Most of the green stuff is verging on gigantic scam'

Most of the "green" stuff is verging on a gigantic scam. Carbon trading, with its huge government subsidies, is just what finance and industry wanted. It's not going to do a damn thing about climate change, but it'll make a lot of money for a lot of people and postpone the moment of reckoning. I am not against renewable energy, but to spoil all the decent countryside in the UK with wind farms is driving me mad. It's absolutely unnecessary, and it takes 2500 square kilometres to produce a gigawatt - that's an awful lot of countryside.

"Most?"

I'm of the mind that "ALL" of the "green" stuff is a scam but then that's just me.

Ya think? So, why don’t the greenie weenies go against the goobermint and industry more about destruction of wetlands. and continued increasing pollution (nitrates in particular) of our waterways by municipalities and sewage pumping stations that fail all the time? NO way I eat oysters anymore from NC, I no better and I am talking cooked.

I don’t know why you’d want to eat oysters anyway. It’s like eating snot. Otherwise I agree with you.

Amazing.

Truly amazing that one man can be so smart and so stupid at the same time and on the same subject matter.

Liberalism really is a mental disorder.

Get help, Mr. Lovelock, before it’s too late.

We need to do this, even if global warming isn’t true we’ll need new sources of energy eventually(the sooner the better imo) and this is just part of the development.

There’s enough coal in the United States to keep the world powered for the next 500 years.

The ignorant hysteria of warmers will keep it in the ground.

It's all just another gigantic tax scheme and transfer of wealth to the worlds worst polluters, who are somehow exempt. When Canada's PM Steven Harper refused to consider any global warming scheme that didn't include China, India and all the other turd world polluters, they were all up in arms, and the worlds enviro-nuts, liberals and other left wing loons at the Un and it's layers of NGO'S (run by the Marxist elite of the enviro-nuts) attacked him like these global governance Marxists always do when you disagree with their retarded schemes, calling him Bushes side kick, etc.

Truth be told, these human haters don't care what economic disasters result from their crusade to stop people from driving cars and burning oil, or anything else. They secretly would love to see half or more of the worlds population die of by starvation.

You'd think they would re-examine the way they want to achieve that goal, and just let Gore's 'global warming' disasters he predicts happening run it's course, wiping out half the worlds population which lives along the coastlines of the world.

But, because they know all this global warming is B.S. they know it won't happen, so they continue to pursue the economic holocaust method instead.

“Green” IS a giant scam. The well springs of real opportunity are drying up; so, we have imaginative politicians “creating” fantasy industries and foisting them upon an ignorant population.

If you think it's bad here, Europeon countries that have cities along the oceans just let their raw sewage drain straight into the oceans. Yet Europeons are the loudest about "global warming" even though they fail year after year to meet their own goals of CO2 reduction. Doesn't stop them from talking about even more idiotic ways of controling human behavior to reduce that "evil' co2. Take Germany for example. Now they want everyone to stop eating meat because cattle farming produces too much "greenhouse gases" from cow farts.

Those enviro nuts aren't very bright however. Humans would fart just as much as the cows do if they all became vegitarians, eliminating any reduction of methane farts (greenhouse gases in their tiny minds)achieved from a reduction of cattle herds. And as usual, they don't give a damn about the economic impact a drastic reduction of the beef industry would have on the economy.

Oh, I know all about Euro’s dumping in the ocean....France and Italy come to mind in particular. The frogging frecnhies think it is perfectly acceptable to dump radiative waste in the ocean too contained in steel barrels. I think there’s a huge section of western french coastline that is dead due to their own pollution. Zack, anymore, there’s just too many dummies out there to deal with simultaneously and effectively. Tough on all of us.....guess vanity and pride and money is all that matters to many any more.
