Right On - score one for the good guys!
Someone is on your property and shootin’ at you they should expect no less. The yahoo got exactly what he deserved.
I hope he enjoyed the ride. F*** him.
I’m sure Gabriel was here just to pick lettuce...
‘The case will likely be referred to a grand jury, police said.’
That’s bizarre. Unless the victim has some gang background or something I dunno why they’d do that.
Anybody who takes up armed robbery right now definitely didn’t get the memo about Obama getting elected. Right now, and for at least the next few years, assume that *everybody* is armed.
In some parts of the country, robbers can expect the same treatment as the Dalton gang in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Crime Crime Crime everywhere. No wonder real estate is cheap down there...
Another happy ending.
What I don’t get is that when we read these stories with a happy ending, the good guy always had a permit. I’ll admit I don’t have one, as they are expensive to procure and retain, although I won’t admit to violating any laws. In that situation, however, the good guy wouldn’t have been in violation of Texas law even if he didn’t have a permit, so I can’t really see why that would be relevant. I don’t have a problem with his license, I’m glad he has one, but it isn’t an issue here. I just wonder if the media is trying to impress upon us that we should never be prepared to defend our property, our lives, or those of others without a license.
Although I am a unreserved defender of the Second Amendment I will say that the son was very irresponsible to have chased the burglar down a residential street firing his weapon at the fleeing burglar.
This kind of behavior does responsible gun owners no favors.
This man could have easily killed innocent bystanders, damaged cars or homes.
He was completely within his rights to defend his mothers home and his own life but once the the burglar had fled his mothers property he should have holstered his gun and called the police.
He also could have given chase but when the kid started shooting on the run the responsible thing to do was to stop the chase because other people were also being put in danger.
Any Freeper in Dallas needs to buy that guy a drink!
