Palin to media: Leave my kids alone (what about Obama's kids)
Yahoo ^

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is going on the offensive against news organizations and bloggers she says are perpetuating malicious gossip about her and her children. But political observers say the former Republican vice presidential candidate can't have it both ways: trotting out the children to showcase her family values, then trying to shield them from scrutiny.

Palin's criticism also raises questions about her motivations because she has said she is open to a presidential run in 2012.

"I think she's positioning herself. She's attacking the media as a way to generate support among a base she hopes will support her," said Leonard Steinhorn, a professor of communications at American University in Washington and an expert on the presidency.

Palin shied away from interviews during the campaign, although her children often accompanied her on her travels, including her oldest daughter, Bristol, who was pregnant at the time.

But in recent weeks, she has personally reached out to media outlets such as People magazine and The Associated Press to complain about information she claimed is wrong.

Her decision to strike back at news organizations seems to contradict the governor's earlier statements on how politicians should respond to media coverage.

I think it's obvious that the reason that Palin is counterattacking now, as opposed to then, is that now the negative Media reporting is outside the normal campaign reporting. Candidates are usually careful not to strike back at the Press during a campaign because THAT is what gets reported & so their message to voters gets lost.

Well the campaign is over & the negative reporting and cheap-shots against Palin continue. She is free to strike back if she so chooses. And if that helps a furture political objective? So what?

Is there any latest on her kid’s pending marriage, the son-in-law’s GED/diploma hunt and/or employment situation. As soon as those things get straightened out, I suspect we’ll hear a deafening silence from the media filth.

Agreed. And now that they’re taking their marching orders from leftist bloggers, its even more important.

The MSM needs to rethink its decision, do you really want to ride this train?

‘”Palin quoted “I’m not whining about the treatment of the press, but I am calling reporters on the family aspect of this,” she said. “I think it’s unprecedented in some respects what I have seen with my children.”

AP (O) Newsweasel: It’s not unprecedented. The children and spouses of high-profile politicians always draw attention.’

This is the money line of article. The reporter finally throws “anonymous sources” and “political observers” to the wind and just comes out and says how he/she/it feels.

The media is bankruptcy financial and intellectually. That sums it up.

There will be no criticism of Zobama’s children from the media.
They are immaculate too.

"political observers say the former Republican vice presidential candidate can't have it both ways: trotting out the children to showcase her family values, then trying to shield them from scrutiny."

Does this mean I can finally say that messiah's kids are doomed to grow up with all the grace, looks, taste, and innate likability of mamabama?

Nearly the entire news media is trashing Palin in any way they can. Which is one more reason why I don’t listen to any of them.

I guess everyone forgot “Chelsea is off limits” was respected...if they want to put kids into the game, then I’d like to see every single legal channel tested that requires media to protect a minor’s right to privacy. Maybe this will be the first “freedom of the press” lawsuit that will begin the decline of first ammendment rights - their effort to harm minors will not be tolerated and we can not condone throwing Obama’s little ones into it either.

I have thought for a long time that a wise media exec would notice that putting ideology ahead of profit and sound reporting was not working. I still believe, profit will eventually trump ideology, and we will then see a major right turn.

The Rat Party (formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party) propaganda arm, the MSM employees, in action:

"Hey, she says she's got kids! Look! There they are. Hey! she brought it up. Attack her kids! Attack! Attack!

"Besides, Obama's children are targets of the press look here: Two weeks before President Obama's inauguration, his daughters Sasha and Malia were escorted to their new schools past a line of [fawning, apple-polishing, boot-licking, groveling, kowtowing, truckling, toady] photographers."

There you are, see? The Rats are fa-a-a-a-air.

These are your grownups in the liberal world. Aren’t they special? Picking on babies. Pretty low isn’t it? I know this is part of their 101 or maybe advanced studies; but in time it will be shown to be one of the dumbest moves they have ever made.

I hope these people remember what goes around comes around. They can’t escape it. It will happen. They can laugh, taunt; whatever; but it’s gonna happen. I have never seen it fail.

So they are trotting this out once again. Correct me if I’m wrong but as far as I know she has not commented on this in weeks.

EXACTLY! Folks, this is a fabricated story - Palin commented on this in passing during her interview with Ziegler (sp) several weeks ago, but now the MSM is making this up just to bash her! I swear, the MSM is scared of Palin.

I’m with you on this one. Obama’s kids are already listening to Snoop Dog who gave us this immortal lyric: “I don’t love you bitch, I’m out the doe hoe (translated door whore). A great parent!

When Obama’s oldest gets knocked up by some pimp in S.E. Washington, I want the MSM to have the “babydaddy” on page one.
