It really doesn’t surprise me. Buffets bring out the beast in a lot of people. I’ve known overeaters who I think would kill someone who made them wait 20 seconds to heap up their plate with something on a buffet line.

The arresting officer, meanwhile, told her she had crossed the line...

A circumstance out of Barthelme.

Wudddaya in for?
Crossing the line.

"He says the woman responded by commenting on his girth indicating he did not need any more nourishment," DeSpain said.

She went on to say that she was a lady and he should be respectful of that.

Lady? Doubtful.

Still, if that's the way she wants to play it, He can always roll a meatball across the plate to her with his nose.

The OCB.

Lousy food. Great people watching.
My elderly parents like the OCB. I’ll take them there so that they can have an enjoyable meal while I watch the large folks gorge themselves. I can understand 3 trips to the buffet. But 7?

My experience is you don’t want to cross people who are getting their chow on at the OCB.

Maybe the People’s republic will need to institute a trans-fat tax to pay for this additional strain on the city’s services!

If an altercation at the Old County Buffet leads to a knife fight, you might be a red neck!

I'm pretty shocked that a reporter used the word "protagonist" in a story.
