An Al Qaeda affiliate in Algeria closed a base earlier this month after an experiment with unconventional weapons went awry, a senior U.S. intelligence official said Monday.

The official, who spoke on the condition he not be named because of the sensitive nature of the issue, said he could not confirm press reports that the accident killed at least 40 Al Qaeda operatives, but he said the mishap led the militant group to shut down a base in the mountains of Tizi Ouzou province in eastern Algeria.

A shy freeper Pmailed me a nice thought, getting Clancy on us. Maybe the top terrorist opened the vat or put something in the camp's water barrel, just before driving away solo, with the weaponized germs? The tools having outlived their usefulness.

It might be like that ant bait...you know the type?... where the ants carry it away to other ant colonies and it kills ALL of them. :-)

"Did AQ just weaponize the Black Death....and is that even possible?"

It's likely Ebola, hence the troop movements into/by the DRofCongo this month.

Matthew 24 -

6 - And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 - For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.

8 - All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Somebody had to say it. I figured I might as well!
