The consensus seems to be that Obama’s great speech did not live up to expectations.

Many in the MSM are providing cover for it, but it was woefully lacking in substance and direction.

[About 1 minute in to listening to it, I concluded that it was disconnected, lacking in theme. It didn't improve from there. If he wrote it himself, he needs remedial lessons in speechifying. This one did not rally the masses.]
