Actually I thought this poet was a lot better than Angelou, and was greatful we didn’t have to suffer through her today.

We will support you when your actions justify them, and you will hear our voices in opposition when you are on the wrong path.

Well said. I didn't vote for him and I don't agree with his stated policies, but he is the President now. I can only repeat what you said, and add "May God guide him to make the right decisions."

We will roundly oppose any socialistic tendencies, and attempts to promote gay marriage, further abortion, or promote any other immorality. We will just as roundly applaud any efforts to do the opposite.

"I’m beginning to suspect President Obama is more pragmatic then we’ve been giving him credit for."

A commentator on Fox made the same remark. I hope that's true. We'll see.

Yes, the Obama administration will remain in campaign mode throughout the presidency as did the Clinton's. I wish President Bush has employed some of that same strategy.

On this day, history was made.

For the first time in American history, a Black man took the oath of office and became the 44th President of the United States of America. A truly glorious moment it should be for those that had lived under the brutal hand of racism, all knowing of the cruel and despicable oppression their ancestors where forced to bare for generations. For them, this should be a day of emotions and heartfelt pride, and it appears to be.

Isn’t it a shame that this man is not one of personal character, nor integrity, nor even the basic experience needed for true leadership of the free world.

In time, those that celebrate this historic day, will hang their heads in shame and regret.

As my son reported to me when he came home from school at the age of five many years ago, “ Dad, dad, you only have one chance to make a first impression”, he yelled with conviction and excitement for what he had learned. Well, my first impression of Mr Obama was that he failed, miserably so, and will now go onto do things that will bring much of our country down to meet his own failure.

The only real president I saw today, was President Bush.

I have to go out now, and bring my country’s flag into my house for storage... and then I am going to take my dog for a walk on the beach.

May God help us all.....

Kwame Kilpatrick used to give good speeches too.

‘I wish President Bush has employed some of that same strategy.’

Yep, we’d probably still have the House if he had. thats the ‘down side’ 43 has yet to realize, but I suspect it will dawn on him sometime in the near future.

The ONE basic reason why the script was modified so that suicide Obomber did not detonate the bomb:

1. Systemic collapse arrived weeks earlier than expected in script.

remake America into what? What is so bad, right now? Why do people still come here from all over world rather than say, Cuba, or Kenya?

Ummm, yeah. I’m confused as to why all these freepers are blaming Roberts for the Oath flub. They’re both at fault, with Obama initiating the embarrassment by interrupting Roberts right at the beginning...

I didn’t watch or listen to the inauguration.

I don’t believe he will uphold the Constitution at all, since his views and political positions are COMPLETELY counter to it.

For the last four years, Democratic supporters did nothing but constantly attack George Bush. They came into power in the senate and did NOTHING but prepare for this election.

Now they will ask us to ascent to their views, to “come together” to “be civil and nice” and “be bi-partisan”.
Well, the only honorable, bipartisan thing to do is fervently oppose the liberal agenda he’s about to bring forth.

The Dems have sent some people here on Democrat Damage Control. Obama botched The Oath big time and tried to talk when when it was Roberts turn to.... Obama must do a better job at being sworn in when he is tried for not proving that he is a natural born American citizen.

Nope, he began his re-election campaign back in November exclaiming he couldn’t get all this change done in a year, and perhaps not even in his first term.

Typical liberalism, run on a platofrm to literally fix every ill known to man, win, and then downplay every single promise made while trying desperately to cling to power for as long as they can.

Hmmm, fair point.

Lets just say it began in ‘earnest’ today.

Actually, it was Justice Roberts that muffed it.

Correct oath:

“I Barack Hussein Obama do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

What Justice Roberts was prompting him to say:

“I Barack Hussein Obama do solemnly swear that I will execute the office of President of the United States faithfully, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Fruedian slip?

Is dissent still the highest form of patriotism?

No. Dissenting from the goals of the Liberal Messiah is blasphemy and treason.
