Grab your barf bags. You're going to need them when viewing this video produced by Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, featuring celebrities making sacred pledges to lord Barack Obama to support a whole host of trendy causes as well as feel-good poses and posted at MySpace Celebrity. Here is how the "Presidential Pledge" is described:
Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore team with MySpace Celebrity and celebrate Barack Obama's presidential inauguration in a truly inspiring way with The Presidential Pledge, a moving video directed by Demi and produced by Ashtons Katalyst Films. Reflecting Baracks call for change, the film features over 50 of the biggest stars in Hollywood revealing how they plan to personally participate in keeping America strong, proud and green. The clip will be presented to our new President during his inaugural celebration.

If they were so pro-green, why did they wait until now to do something they believed would help? Because the cameras are rolling now and weren’t before.
My thoughts exactly.
"Celebrities!! Is there anything that they don't know!??"
If I remember right, it's in the last few seconds. I don't blame you for not making it to the very end.
Wow, Demi Moore got to star in something....
I am scared to death of what this guy owes the lunatic left.
I had the TV on a few minutes ago and was noting the flotsam and jetsam in the crowd. They drank the coolaid.
This guy us exactly what Reagan was accused of being-the product of slick marketing and packaging. There is no there there!
I pledge to care for my family, do my job, pay my taxes, and mind my own freaking business. I wish those airheads would do the same.
It was towards the end,, the guy in the red shirt with all the tattoos. And yes,,Isn’t it creepy?
I’m reminded of German soldiers swearing personal allegiance to Adolph Hitler. I know the others in the video didn’t swear allegiance to Hussein by name, but it was very clear thats exactly what they meant.
(as pointed out by the earlier poster, who pointed out how much they didnt volunteer for all those same causes during the Bush years)
A new cottage industry is born!
what is that?
It’s at the very end. I tried to skip through but I found that hard to do, so it might be necessary to listen to all the comments leading up to the end. Then, the celebrities all form a picture of obama. Absolutely creepy.
Good news that your friend is starting to be aware! It’s encouraging to know that people are beginning to see what’s going on.
At the very end, Demi Moore proclaims she pledges to be a servant of the president. This is after some other idiots pledge to “end slavery”. Earlier some maroon pledges to turn off the lights cuz he “always leaves the lights on”. Yeah, don’t strain yourself buddy.
Do they see how stupid they sound?
I just noted elsewhere that the movie A FACE IN THE CROWD is on TCM today. Excellent movie in which a politician shows a charming face to the TV camera and becomes a cult-like figure by telling the people what they want to hear. Andy Griffith is stunningly good and seems flat-out evil. It’s a great illustration of the packaging and marketing that can make someone like obama.
Who is the clown with the speech impediment, who kisses his tatooed biceps as he pledges himself to subservience to the Magic Negro?
I don't mind a President asking people to get involved in with helping others, service to the community, and to the country. Even Bush did that in 2001. But this is something totally different.
Just when one thinks that the societal yeast infection which is called Hollywood had reached its lowest point in shallowness they release this video which is so over the top that its actually laugh-out-loud funny. The looks of gravitas on the faces of these pustules as they pledge their undying love and devotion for their brown leader is truly a certified vomit-inducer to us commoners. I for one plan to copy this video onto a dvd and play it whenever I need a few laughs, or a laxative.
He is indeed a lucky man.
