I just noted elsewhere that the movie A FACE IN THE CROWD is on TCM today. Excellent movie in which a politician shows a charming face to the TV camera and becomes a cult-like figure by telling the people what they want to hear. Andy Griffith is stunningly good and seems flat-out evil. It’s a great illustration of the packaging and marketing that can make someone like obama.
“A face in the crowd” is EXACTLY the movie I have mentioned several times over the course of this election.
I used to say I prayed someone would turn on the mike and show Obama for what he is.
I think that TCM also aired Fountainhead earlier this morning.
