Good Post. Yesterday I was listening to a local talk show and the host asked this question, “How many of you cannot stand to watch or listen to the Inaugural coverage and how many of you think it is ‘over the top.’?” The response was big. 53% of the voting public does not a big majority make when it comes to elected officials. A few minds changed here and there can tip the balance. I sense that many have lost respect for the major news and entertainment media, and feeling helpless in the midst of this irrational idolatry, will simply not be listening or watching anymore. They will retreat and become a “silent majority.” However, their very retreat will have an impact on this nation and this culture. Somewhere in the future they will fight for the Constitution once again. As for me and my house, we have more pressing matters to attend to..Tomorrow we bury my Brother-in-Law who died of MRSA pneumonia on Saturday. No man or woman lives forever..Once a person leaves this world, how that person lived and what he/she did purposefully and without thought, to hurt and steal the freedom and rights of other people, will count. The brain washed minions often forget that.
I know what you mean about not wanting to watch.
Obama’s inexperience, naivete, and socialist policies are bad enough.
But what is the most troubling, and most dangerous, by far is the media’s and the public’s unquestioning adulation of Obama. It’s like some kind of mass psychosis.
I never quite understood how many countries have, from time to time, gone off the deep end and entrusted terrible leaders with great power. Now I know that it is all too possible, even in America. Sad.
My sincerest condolences.
Two weeks ago I had a MRSA abscess. I was in the urgent care 4 days in a row to have the abscess surgically opened, IV antibiotics, and daily pack changing.
I am better now and feel lucky to be alive.
Thanks for the response. You are right, but I listen out of concern for what this man and his lap dog media will usher into this nation. I won’t turn my back to him. I don’t trust him that much.
