He won an Oscar and a Nobel Peace Prize, but a recent poll suggests the Global Warmingist-in-Chief Al Gore is losing his propaganda war to convince Americans carbon dioxide is destroying the planet.
In fact, the number of people who believe that long-term planetary trends are responsible for the relatively small increase in temperatures in recent decades rose ten percent since last April while those viewing it as a man-made problem have decreased by six percent.
Talk about your inconvenient truths!
This has got to be bad news for a man that has bet his reputation as well as his very fortune on people buying into his junk science. As reported [1] by Rasmussen Reports Monday:
Forty-four percent (44%) of U.S. voters now say long-term planetary trends are the cause of global warming, compared to 41% who blame it on human activity.
Seven percent (7%) attribute global warming to some other reason, and nine percent (9%) are unsure in a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. [...]
In April of last year [2], 47% of Americans blamed human activity versus 34% who viewed long-term planetary trends as the culprit. But the numbers have been moving in the direction of planetary trends since then.
On the eve of the inauguration of a president that has bought this nonsense hook, line, and sinker, we can only hope Congress is paying attention to how the electorate feels about this issue.

If you’re wondering why North America is starting to resemble nuclear winter, then you missed the news.
At December’s U.N. Global Warming conference in Poznan, Poland, 650 of the world’s top climatologists stood up and said man-made global warming is a media generated myth without basis. Said climatologist Dr. David Gee, Chairman of the International Geological Congress, “For how many years must the planet cool before we begin to understand that the planet is not warming?”
I asked myself, why would such obviously smart guy say such a ridiculous thing? But it turns out he’s right.
The earth’s temperature peaked in 1998. It’s been falling ever since; it dropped dramatically in 2007 and got worse in 2008, when temperatures touched 1980 levels.
Meanwhile, the University of Illinois’ Arctic Climate Research Center released conclusive satellite photos showing that Arctic ice is back to 1979 levels. What’s more, measurements of Antarctic ice now show that its accumulation is up 5 percent since 1980.
In other words, during what was supposed to be massive global warming, the biggest chunks of ice on earth grew larger. Just as an aside, do you remember when the hole in the ozone layer was going to melt Antarctica? But don’t worry, we’re safe now, that was the nineties.

Doesn’t matter now. Obama is going to enact a lot of this garbage.
That would be the 59% of the population with enough functioning neurons to notice that they are freezing to death.
The other 49% are at the Obama Coronation.

I live in Michigan where we have about 10 inches of fresh Global Warming on the ground. This past weekend, school closed, so our Boy Scouts went camping. Friday night never crested zero. I wanted to take a photo of me sitting in a chair near my tent reading Earth in the Balance bundled up in my arctic gear. But, I forgot to take the book and the camera batteries were frozen. I took the shot at home yesterday instead.
Yes, I really have the book to use as a futute firestarter. I got it at the dollar store...on sale.
That’s hard to believe.
I wonder how many even believe the planet is warming. It’s been below 30 for the past two and a half weeks here.

Or, it’s like gays in the military and the homeless crisis. It’s only sheik to shriek when a Republican is in office. Code faded Red and Cindy Shebeast have also fallen out of style real fast.

You beat me to the post; my thoughts exactly. The real battle over global warming was lost last spring when it was inevitable that either 0bama or McCain would be President, and under both we were going to have “anti-climate change” policies.
Now we can all shiver in the dark (or swelter in the summer), while we sit on top of vast resources denied us by our socialist masters.
If he was invited to the inauguration, it would probably be an unseasonably warm day (at least that what Gores history of appearances show... it’s scientific concurrence)
Finally, people are believing their thermometers.
THe global warming industry is salivating, waiting for the dollars to come down.
