Well done, President Bush.” ?????

How do you figure well done?

I have always been a Bush supporter, but the last couple of years he has really fellenl off his high ground!

These two guys were not only left to rot for 3 years, but now by commuting instead of pardoning, they are left with the rest of their lives ruined.
Consider: As still felons they can never vote, exercise 2nd amendment rights, get a decent job, a passport or enjoy any of the freedoms they were endeavoring to protect.

If Bush had had the integrity to pardon them instead, they would get their lives back, except for the three years. The best that can be said for this is that it is a cowardly cop-out. Sucking up to the Mexican government should come second to standing by American citizens.

When The Obamanation cops out on American servicemen in Iraq and Afghanistan we are going to holler “foul” -— why will that be any worse than this, except in degree and number of people betrayed?

Can you imagine Algore for POTUS?

Yes. I {{{{shuddered}}}} at the thought on 9/11, and many times thereafter.

Pitiful lamentations appear to be the mode of operation here.

Too bad, obviously the leftwing base has shown itself to be much more productive than us.

Good well thought out post.

What is disgusting is that in the last few years, some of the worst bashing has been on Freep...some posters wanting a “Daddy” instead of a president.

I don’t know what the whiners will now do...no doubt they will complain about the conservative movement AGAIN cause it is not meeting their fantasy standards instead of working for change.

what is REALLY pitiful is that they are on Freep.

It's pitiful that not every FReeper is exactly in lock step with your opinions?

OK.

Obviously you’re not paying much attention either. Did you perhaps look at the front page of that site? All the nes stories are dated June 2009. It’s “satire” basically.

That is true... I remember those same “conservatives” complaining about Reagan cause he wasn’t do something about the “Japanese” or he spent to much.. Yet now they love him.. They also think that Reagan was Paleocon.. He wasn’t.

I’m happy for R&C but all of us will still be imprisoned in the conservative socialist cell that Bush has put us in as he turns over the keys to Obama.

He didn’t pardon them.

These men never got justice and the “King” is letting them out of prison for his own personal reasons after he made sure they went to prison unjustly just to please Mexico.

Bush must have finally heard back from the Mexican government on what he should do.

No. A full pardon would prevent them from appealing, they can still do that, and/or request their records be expunged.

Bush did the best he could possibly do here, IMHO.

YMMV...
