Survivor’s “fat naked gay guy” should have used FoB 2.0, Timmy Geithner’s defense
The Collins Report ^ | January 19th, 2009 | Kevin “Coach” Collins

In 2000 America watched Richard Hatch, dubbed the “fat naked gay guy” weasel his way to the one million dollar prize on “Survivor.”

Hatch wasn’t very well liked so his indictment for failing to pay federal income taxes due on his winnings brought no sympathy.

Hatch had to hire a lawyer and fight to avoid a federal prison stretch. In spite of his wealth this ordinary, if not typical, American couldn’t beat the government. He was convicted.

Hatch didn’t understand saying, “I thought someone else was paying the taxes, so I didn’t know I owed anything” wasn’t a defense available to a nobody like him.

When Hatch tried saying “I didn’t know” he got 51 months in prison.

Obama’s new Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is an FoB whose father worked with Obama’s mother during young Barack’s Indonesia Muslim schooldays. He gets away with what Hatch couldn’t.

Both cases involve a clear failure to pay income taxes due, but Geithner is a liberal sacred cow and Hatch just looked like one so he went to prison.

Since Hatch was a fat balding “annoying gay guy” it was okay for the media to make fun of him, call him a tax cheat and the government to jail him.

Although Geithner admits his guilt nobody calls him a tax cheat. His blather about “an honest mistake” is being defended by the same media that’s supposed to guard against criminals like Timmy ascending to high office.

Friend of Barack, tax cheat Geithner can say, “I didn’t know.” The same line sent former bartender Hatch to prison. With a few exceptions the rule seems to be, “Nobody but nobodies goes to prison for being an income tax cheat.”

Gay naked Survivor winners aren’t allowed “innocent mistakes.” Friends of Barack (FoBs) are allowed such mistakes...

Hatch is neither an ordinary nor typical American.

If I were Wesley Snipes, I’d be PISSED. But then he’d be ragging on his President, so darn it all!

Big difference here. Ole Timmy deliberately cheated. His claim of ignorance is laughable. Too bad the joke is on us.

Too bad the republicans have forgotten the vicious confirmation hearing for Ashcroft and Alito.

I am more angry at the spineless cowardly republicans. From the dems I expect lying cheating and perversion to be quite acceptable.

The Reps calculus is that Geithner is a much better Treasury candidate than they expected to get out of Obama. If he’s dumped, they expect someone from the far left to be nominated.

IMO, confirm him, but keep the issue alive. If this “wunderkind” can’t figure out the tax system, how can we be expected to?

At what point does media complicity in Federal crimes fall under the RICO statute?

I guess Richard Hatch needs to write to BO and ask for a presidential pardon - since BO apparently sees nothing wrong with not paying your taxes. It would be a big media event.
