Inauguration Day is almost here, and many people are anxiously awaiting the moment Rick Warren takes the stage to pray for our new leader and the country. I am crossing my fingers for a gracious response to Warren.
He's that evangelical guy the president-elect asked to give the inaugural invocation. (Warren also happens to be a crusader against the AIDS epidemic, a thoughtful thinker on current issues and a man who has consistently shared his own platform with people who oppose him ideologically, including Barack Obama.)
After Warren was invited, Obama took some heat. His first heat, really. (Ronald Reagan was known as the Teflon President. What's even better than Teflon? The brand name should be attached to president-elect Obama.)
After the Warren invitation, some Obama supporters demanded to know how Obama could invite an anti-abortion, Proposition-8-supporting church leader to his Change the World ceremony. They demanded he reconsider his choice and expressed feelings of outrage and betrayal.
The fury was both sad and amusing. Somehow Obama's connections to Rev. Jeremiah Wright and former Weathermen radical Bill Ayers weren't anything to get bunched up about, but that Rick Warren fellow ....

I won’t be watching either one of them.
I see this as a very sad day.
Both, Warren and Obama are a disgrace.
here here
I have not watched hardly any news since the election .
I am not one of them who says well lets give him a chance and could not believe Hannity wishing him luck or Bush saying our party should be more open.
Screw that
and yes it is a very sad day as it shows me the average voter is a total idiot who follow like sheep.
The media say this and that and they believe it.
I swear right now that I have not met one obama voter who has any idea about obama except change, good speaker or he sounds good.
One person said well he speaks good and that is what we need. I kid you not.
This election has showed me that the media is strong and the people , many people are just dumb sheep.
Not to worry though the phony and his racist angry bitter wife will be in charge and he will do change we can believe in
ARF
I’m not going to pray or have ‘hope’ for someone who decides to jump off a cliff. Especially when he wants to take the lives of millions of unborn babies with him.
This needs a gag-me-with-a-spoon alert.
” am not one of them who says well lets give him a chance and could not believe Hannity wishing him luck or Bush saying our party should be more open.
Screw that”
Ditto that and all you said.
I don’t believe in undermining myself or the OBVIOUS about this VILE, street thug.
This is an essential kick-the-dust off your shoes moment. The next four years are not going to be pretty and God has been lifting His hand off this nation at an alarming rate since Nov 2006. Expect the nation’s woes to increase in intensity and new one’s to follow.
Warren is a joke. I guess Oprah made a deal to push his next book. The pro-abortion TV pastor & author.
Well I also heard:
“He’s so intelligent” or
“He was President of Harvard Law Review” or
“He’ll fix this economy” or
“Birth certificate? Never heard about that”
Rick Warren is really plugging heard for a political spot.
At least Joel Osteen has a hot wife.
I’m not watching either.
And remember, America! After having your Obama, please flush. (And turn the fan on.)
...and light a match
This is going to be the longest week of my life.
It is my hope that the only time I’ll be thinking of Zero during the coronation bacchanalia and the group grope parties attending it is when I’m flushing the toilet bowl.
I lived through Kennedy (murdered), Johnson (brought down by the leftists in his own party), Carter (a disgrace economically and on foreign policy), Clintoon (impeached), so I am just going to have to grit my teeth and get through the next four years like I’ve done in the past. Maybe the sun will come out again but I have a feeling it might not this time unless we Republicans can trounce the RINOs in our own party and bring back Reagan conservatism.
On one occasion when I did a really nasty heavy load, when I looked down into the toilet bown I thought to myself "Hey I see a Poliski, Harry Reid and a Schumer too!!"
Nicholas Angel: How can this be for the greater good?
NWA Members: [chanting] The greater good.
