You were saying — “Good plan, but we can only do it as individuals. Frankly, I’m with you - ain’t no hope but that that resides in the hand of God. However, I don’t see much hope that our fellow Americans care much beyond who plays the Super Bowl and where their 401K is going.”

If we do it as individuals, change can happen, but that usually happens slowly and means that things will probably get worse before they get better.

But, if something like this was done on a national basis, as a whole society (just like Jonah did with Ninevah), then we would see very quick results and blessings from God from it.

That’s the difference between individual repentance and national repentance.

And then you said — “Let us pray for an awakening.”

That, I think is the only “bottom line solution” — if things are to be turned around. But, at the same time, I think this “turning around” will come from the judgment of God upon this nation which will *drive people” to this kind of “awakening”. So, it looks like, to me, worse is yet to come...

Please consider setting up a family small business. Use the system to lower your tax burden and use your talents (not inconsiderable . . . we’ve met before) to preserve your homefront and extend your options - all without sacrificing your freedom or the sanctity of your home and family life.

Working as many hours as possible, cutting expenses, and amassing as much money as I can at the moment. Also, trying to learn as much as possible, bettering myself.

Try to raise my kids right and try to educate as many people as I can about what is really going on. I will simplify and try to remember to enjoy life despite the apparent misery.

I think it’s important to ignore the propagandists and look to alternate sources to find out what is really going on.

I’m trying to figure out a way to take a more prominent role in spreading conservatism.

Good for you! Personally, we killed our TV decades ago and haven’t looked back. I do, however, channel surf like any red-blooded American when I have the chance . . .

I don't think all the blame belongs to the boomers..just look back to the days of FDR. There are those who think the ground he rolled on is sainted....and from there lots of this liberal bilge began. I do agree that during the 1960s things began in real earnest with the love ins and all the me myself and I stuff, I was in HS and college and it was in college that I had this bunch of lib professors..so they were already here filling some of our minds full of mush with this crap..Some of us got a boat load of crap from fellow students because we were not all for LBJ and those anti Viet Nam rallies and so on..we looked a the world differently. Iwent in the service right out of college and I can't tell you how many of my classmates thought I and a few others who joined the military, were stupid..we were jerks, we wasted our 4 year educations...and so on..
So by no means were all the boomers in this radical sector. That said, this violation of the educational process has only been refined to the point that all the teachers save one are freaking liberals. The one who is a conservative had a business on the side so he knows better.
I have friend who is a dentist...very well educated but not a thinker..not a real judgmental thinker..a feeler thinker. The other day we were discussing the natural born issue surrounding THE ONE...and she said “ well I feel that anyone born on US soil is a natural American” to which I said to her, “ it doesn't matter what you feel..it matters what the law says and the constitution makes it clear.” She goes on with this I feel stuff and that is the crux of it all...they don't think they feel....God save us.

LAID OFF two days ago. Yep, companies are preparing for the worst presidency in American history.

Fortunately I’ve no debt, very frugal life and very low taxes. Severance ends in a couple months, then I’ll apply for unemployment since company said they won’t contest it. Plus dems expanded unemp. benefits to a year. Of course I’ll always be looking for work.

Now I don’t have to worry about filling up my tank and paying my mortgage right?

Sorry an interruption caused me to leave out the bit with the teachers..they are teachers we know in our area.
Oh and what I will do starting the 20th...avoid hearing that freak as much as possible on that day..will be washing windows, listening to Rush and figuring ways to hide our money..lets all find ways to get on the hand out roster..we pay the damn taxes so lets just get in line to get OUR money back since they seem to be willing to give it to the residents living under a bridge who pay not a cent toward federal income tax bills....

I am getting the HELL out of Illinois.

As a matter of fact, on inauguration day I have an appointment to look at a house in rural Indiana I am thinking of buying.

It’s really a pleasure reading these posts from like-minded people and thank you! I enjoy the resoluteness, calm rhetoric but mainly the truly American way of thinking here.

I cruised through 8 yrs. of Clinton (sleep walked), never did see one TV state of the union or speech of any kind of his and my days went quite well. I kept up easily via conservative talk radio, shortwave radio and other small print publications. My computer then was used as desktop publisher and typewriter, no internet until later in this tiny Texas rural community.

Well, we’re still in good company looks like, may God bless and protect us all.

I’ll keep you in my prayers. Sounds like you are in good shape. Best wishes! I’m so annoyed to be living in a formerly red state right now!
