Working as many hours as possible, cutting expenses, and amassing as much money as I can at the moment. Also, trying to learn as much as possible, bettering myself.

It’s really a pleasure reading these posts from like-minded people and thank you! I enjoy the resoluteness, calm rhetoric but mainly the truly American way of thinking here.

I cruised through 8 yrs. of Clinton (sleep walked), never did see one TV state of the union or speech of any kind of his and my days went quite well. I kept up easily via conservative talk radio, shortwave radio and other small print publications. My computer then was used as desktop publisher and typewriter, no internet until later in this tiny Texas rural community.

Well, we’re still in good company looks like, may God bless and protect us all.

Same here. I remained essentially aloof to the Clinton presidency except for Rush, and did not talk politics with others. Abortion is a sensitive subject for me because of its violence juxtaposed against its casual acceptance; another person's view on that colors my view of them and their sense of humanity enormously. Best, therefore, not to discuss politics.

Was enormously productive careerwise during the Clinton years. As long as Obama leaves us as individuals alone (apart from the expected tax increases), we'll be fine.

Maybe a time for more prayer and reflection. Maybe a time to consider moving to a more conservative state.
