Letter of resignation to the RNC; I quit!
Renew America ^ | 2009-01-18 | J. R. Dieckmann

After wrestling with this decision for two years now, I have resigned from the Republican party. The party no longer represents my values and I see no hope for real change in the foreseeable future.

The following letter is being sent to the Republican National Committee along with the California Republican Party by U.S. Mail. If you feel the same way, you are welcome to use this letter, or portions of it, for your own letter of resignation if you wish. Then contact your state Secretary of State's office to change your voter registration.

AMEN to that letter. I have also resigned from the so-called republican party. I am in the process of trying to OBAMAPROOF my 401K and cut my legal taxes to the bone. Yeah-yeah to all the “you just marginalized yourself” people.

Expect the RNC to call for donations for the next six years. Be nice to the young callers and tell them why they are wasting their time with you.

Back in 2000 what did you all think “compassionate conservatism” meant? Heavens, in our hearts we all knew the truth when Bob Dole ran in 1996.

The Republican Party is now embracing Feminism - we all know what happens next - men flee.

We expected that the Republican party would have made an effort to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and to see that our laws are followed.

Socialists will never defend the Constitution nor will they follow laws that don't fit their agenda.

Hey Dan, some children would rather fight Republicans then fight the real enemy, Marxist Obama and his Democrat majority Congress.

That's funny, considering that most of the Republicans in Congress—including McCain and Graham—are eagerly kissing Obama's butt instead of fighting him and the Democrats.

I was ready to take this unfortunate step after the losses in 2006

I did it after I held my nose in 2004 and voted for George Bush. I said then that I would never vote for another RINO, and when, to my utter amazement and disgust, the GOP nominated John McCain, I knew I had no dog in the presidential fight. Appalled as I am at the election of no-talent Barack, I would be equally marginalized if John McCain had won.

As a conservative, I was offered no candidate in this election. And I suspect I was like millions of other Americans. Maybe 2012 will be different.

Good for you, by the way. To hell with the GOP.

Is there any law preventing the GOP from disqualifying delegate votes from crossover states?

The Republicans and the Democrats are now one party.

So, we’re building a second party.

Notwithstanding that bit of disagreement with the way you frame things, we don’t fit any of your characterizations at AIP. We’re straight up the line Reagan conservatives, and don’t “blend in with the Left Wing” in any respect. That would be the Republicans, not us.

No we have another choice just as the factioned parties before the GOP did. Remember the GOP was formed and had a sitting POTUS in less than a decade in a era of non existant mass communication. The very idea that we must except the GOP as our olny hope is insane. I’m not saying don’t challange I’m saying it is time to form a Conservative Constitution Rooted Party instead. Have the party platform and bi-laws written, voted on by registered membership, and enforced.

America's Independent Party

You're dreaming.

If you want to make a difference, you'll help change the Republican party. Rather than embark on a Quixotic venture to launch a third party that will insure a conservative loss.

Many on FR are trolls to divide and destroy the Republicans which only builds up the Democrats.

We're not trolls; we're just not stupid enough to mistake the Rat feces that the Republican Party likes to serve up on a regular basis for conservatism.

The GOP is dead. The sooner conservatives realize it, the better.

Look at the Libetards out in force. But your coward hero that you pushed for POTUS, the surrender monkey Ron Paul is a member of the Republican party. Why does your coward stay in the Republican party then? So he can stay in office. You Libetards are a joke because your disdain for the Republican party, yet you all pushed Paul, who is a member of it.

Agree. It will either be “Save the Constitution” or “Resurrect the Constitution” depending on how much damage is done to it.

Most, hardly.
Once Obozo is in next week and the legislation goes up to congress, he will not get an automatic pass.

With a Democrat majority in Congress, Many good Republicans will still put up a fight.

We fought like hell to remove a RINO in my congressional district. We finally did it and how did the GOP repay us? They claimed his race in this election was a lost cause and withdrew party money from his campaign.

The "lost cause" lost by 2% this year.

I send the RNC a check every 4 years to support the lesser of two evils, and they spend ten times that amount the ensuing four years trying to get me to send in one penny more. They should just keep the junk mail. If they field good conservative candidates, the money will flood in unsolicited.
