I don't often post vanities but since this is an eyewitness account I thought I'd go ahead.
On my way to In-N-Out in Foothill Ranch a little while ago I noticed a HUGE police presence at Saddleback Church today. One or two squad cars at each entrance, more cars patrolling Portola Parkway and El Toro Road, a mobile command post, equestrian units, and a dozen or more motorcycle units. I'd say at least 20 to 30 police in all. Maybe more as I was not on the campus itself and there may have been others closer to the services.
There was a big protest along the Portola entrance, with plenty of signs and rainbow flags (Laguna Beach must be a ghost town today!). Protesters crossed the street to and from the Arco Station holding signs and flags. Not the first time I've seen all that but never so many cops before. I have to guess that with warren involved with the inauguration that either the whole thing is getting the Homeland Security treatment or the cops got a specific threat against Warren.
Hhhmmmmmmm In-N-Outttttt
I’d bet there was a threat against Warren.
I am sure there were a bunch of threats against him by left wingers.
MANY threats against Warren.
The Double Double was nice and cheesy, fries were great as always, and the Dr Pepepr washed it all down with just the right flavor.
That’s Dr Pepper!
They thought the Brokeback mob would show up.
You didn’t get it animal style?
Considering his friendship with Zero and his support of Vicki Gene Robinson's appearance, I'm actually more upset with people who think The Purpose Driven Hypocrite is some sort of conservative.
Great post. Thanks for the eyewitness account. That’s part of what FR is all about.
As a Angelino native I must say that living in northeast Florida the thing I miss the most is In ‘n Out” They always have had the best burgers and I am 61 years old and the first one I remmember was on Franciscito road on our way to my grandparents house in La Puente.
Actually I don’t care for Rick Warren’s current theological direction. But I do wish him well.I would sooner discuss burgers.LOL!
They’re great any ol’ way. I attended that church two Chrismases ago. I liked how it’s still warm enough to sit outside in overflow and be comfortable.
LOL Vicki Gene Robinson ROFL
Love your tagline. Naturally he can’t recognize anti-Americanism; he’s not even an American citizen.
Lavender mafia.
Pictures! Pictures!
Me too but sadly I no longer can. We used to have this place in Redmond (WA) called the Workshop Tavern. Soon after I took a job here, my co-workers introduced me to the tradition of Friday burgers and beer at the Workshop. You had no options (there was a sign posted: "This isn't Burger King; you get it our way or you don't get the d*mned thing" or something like that). The Workshop had been around just about forever, as attested by the amount of grease that had soaked into the woodwork -- and we always worried that someday it might catch fire. Fortunately it never did... but "progress" finally caught up with it last year and it was torn down. *\:-(
All we have now are burger chains. *\:-(
