I don't often post vanities but since this is an eyewitness account I thought I'd go ahead.
On my way to In-N-Out in Foothill Ranch a little while ago I noticed a HUGE police presence at Saddleback Church today. One or two squad cars at each entrance, more cars patrolling Portola Parkway and El Toro Road, a mobile command post, equestrian units, and a dozen or more motorcycle units. I'd say at least 20 to 30 police in all. Maybe more as I was not on the campus itself and there may have been others closer to the services.
There was a big protest along the Portola entrance, with plenty of signs and rainbow flags (Laguna Beach must be a ghost town today!). Protesters crossed the street to and from the Arco Station holding signs and flags. Not the first time I've seen all that but never so many cops before. I have to guess that with warren involved with the inauguration that either the whole thing is getting the Homeland Security treatment or the cops got a specific threat against Warren.
And while that may be true... it’s also very true that the pro-homo groups act violently in pushing their agendas. I would say that they are the main culprits here...
Did you report that to the police?
Don’t have Emerson’s book yet, but have a mini collection of books on fighting Al Qaeda by some leading experts in the battle. I like Kenneth Timmerman’s ‘Preachers of Hate’ and ‘Shadow Warriors’. Here is a partial list if you are interested:
Oriana Fallaci: ‘The Force of Reason’
Jed Babbin: ‘In The Words Of Our Enemies’
Norman Pohoretz: ‘World War IV’
David Horowitz: ‘Unholy Alliance’
Paul Sperry: ‘Infiltration’
Thanks to our brave military and President Bush, my interest in the topic is not as pressing as it once was.... we are safer now because of their sacrifice and service. It won’t be long though until every enemy of the US starts saber rattling our new ‘lame on terror’ President. They have already started, according to some of the recent press coming from Iran, North Korea, Russia and others.
“I would say that they are the main culprits here...”
If you are referring to the police presence at Saddleback, then that would appear to be correct.
My post was a response to a question that I interpreted to refer to threats against Obama. I certainly don’t see the homosexual mafia as being a threat to Obama. Who elese do they have? No one is more left than Obama. They would never be so dumb as to threaten him.
Maybe they were just expecting a big collection.
Okay, and thanks...
A few names to add to that... Nonie Darwish, Brigitte Gabriel, Walid Shoebat — all having direct experience with Muslims, some being former Muslims and one a former terrorists in Israel (no longer, though...).
The above do have websites and books and videos (on the net, plus radio interviews and so on). I could do some searches, but I figure you can, too... :-)
Yeah, you’re right...
I would not put anything past the communists and marxists. Another thing that many people don’t realize is the unholy alliance between skinheads and Islamists these days. While the press would love to pin a crazy skinhead on the conservative right side of the spectrum...many of them are nothing more than jew and black hating racists in sympathy with Islamists around the world.
So no...I don’t think you are crazy or a tin foil hatter to think such things. Russia/China have been waging a proxy war against us for decades through Iran,Syria, North Korea and Venezuela..to name just a few.
According to polling data on the passage of prop 8, neither do the blacks...they supported prop 8 by 70%+ margine!
Thanks..I already know of them and have read some of their stuff. I pray, for the sake of our country, that Obama does not drop the ball on the Islamist threat. But he has already signaled to the world, that he will do just that.
Agreed, just adding a little known fact to back you up.
The angry gays are protesting churches and ignoring the fact that minorities hate them more.
Never been to Dick's?
Not ON FreeRepublic, but as Star Traveler didn't relate, there are other folks around the world who have issued at the very least veiled threats -- though maybe not personally, still in BHO's position I'd not take excessive chances.
We don't have one in Redmond anyway.
I think you can expect great things from the current pope. He almost makes me want to cross over.
