Huge police presence at Saddleback Church today
Self | 1/18/2009 | Self

I don't often post vanities but since this is an eyewitness account I thought I'd go ahead.

On my way to In-N-Out in Foothill Ranch a little while ago I noticed a HUGE police presence at Saddleback Church today. One or two squad cars at each entrance, more cars patrolling Portola Parkway and El Toro Road, a mobile command post, equestrian units, and a dozen or more motorcycle units. I'd say at least 20 to 30 police in all. Maybe more as I was not on the campus itself and there may have been others closer to the services.

There was a big protest along the Portola entrance, with plenty of signs and rainbow flags (Laguna Beach must be a ghost town today!). Protesters crossed the street to and from the Arco Station holding signs and flags. Not the first time I've seen all that but never so many cops before. I have to guess that with warren involved with the inauguration that either the whole thing is getting the Homeland Security treatment or the cops got a specific threat against Warren.

My son used to be a member of the Church when he lived in California. I’ve attended a couple of services there.

Considering his friendship with Zero and his support of Vicki Gene Robinson's appearance, I'm actually more upset with people who think The Purpose Driven Hypocrite is some sort of conservative.

The Purpose Driven craze is just works-based churchianity mixed with pop culture. So sad to see it invading even the liturgical churches. I have been reading "Christless Christianity: The Alternative Gospel of the American Church" by Michael Horton. I highly recommend that book to anyone who is not a liberal but yet is uneasy with a lot of things going on in so-called conservatives churches nowadays.

We lived in Rowland Heights when the kids were little, now in Tn. A few years ago they left their grandmother's funeral early so that they could get an In ‘n Out” and not miss the plane.

All the threats and the huge amount of security around the inauguration is getting very creepy. Why all the threats? Obama is supposed to be loved by every single person on the planet.

I’m talking about the *overwhelming passion* against Obama taking office (which is what “generates” these types of things...).

Of course, it would be a stupid person who put in print what he was going to do... LOL...

I can’t stand militant gays. There’s no one more obnoxious group anywhere. PERIOD. And you’re right, they’re all over Laguna Beach. Been into Woody’s a time or two with a gay roommate and saw 50-year old men passing around a 14-year old kid or so. Perhaps the most disturbing, disgusting thing I’ve seen.

In N Out is the one thing I took from Southern California that is amazing! We have Krystal in the south, but it’s NOTHING compared to the Double Double!

You sure you are not a lib?

I remember when the libs and Clinton tried to blame Rush Limbaugh and his listeners for the Oklahoma Bombing..which was ridiculous. If someone attempts to harm Obama..it won’t be because almost half the country didn’t vote for him and voice their strong objections to his presidency. It will likely be a racist nut or an Islamic terrorist.

I still remember the french fries one guy in my hometown made in his little diner. We would go there for lunch. They were wonderful. I’ve never had any that were better except in a big 50s diner near Rochester. It was such a treat to get them. Yum.

You asked — “You sure you are not a lib?”

LOL..., I’ve been asked that a lot by some who don’t like some of what I simply call “realism”. That’s all it really is. I did not vote for Obama and campaigned against him before the election. I even mentioned all this stuff about his qualifications per the Constitution. But, unfortunately, I lost — and that’s the “realism” that we have here.

And furthermore, no matter how *passionate* someone is in getting rid of Obama — it still has to happen in a “real-life scenario”. Too many people take what I say has to happen in “real life” as liking Obama. And that’s not true.

I’ve also said that we need to close up the hole in the vetting system by passing state laws requiring documented proof of the candidates qualifications per the Constitution. Oklahoma is already proceeding on that issue now (when the next session opens).

So, no..., I’m not. Also look at my home page, too. In any case, I’ll still maintain that we have to do this in a “real world scenario” that *actually works*. We’re not writing “novels” here — but trying to get something to happen — “for real”...

In regards to — “I remember when the libs and Clinton tried to blame Rush Limbaugh and his listeners for the Oklahoma Bombing..which was ridiculous. If someone attempts to harm Obama..it won’t be because almost half the country didn’t vote for him and voice their strong objections to his presidency. I think that was Islamic terrorists connections. There’s a book out by Jayna Davis that documents that. McVeigh was connected with them and some other “Christian Identity” group in Eastern Oklahoma...

I remember studying some of Jayna’s stuff after 911. The woman has some extensive and convincing research to back up her claims. Most of us are passionate about stopping Obama and the dems ‘march to marxism’. No one on here wants anything bad (like an assasination) to happen to Obama. I just think we need to be careful what we take from people’s posts and not assume that because they say they ‘want to stop Obama’..that they mean something sinister.

As a Catholic I felt that it’s great, I don’t have to worry about any of that drek but I do, really, because it is no fun at all watching my Protestant compatriots getting sucked into these things. It affects the whole country adversely. And, we had problems of a similar sort in the 70s-90s with the “modernizing” of the Catholic Church. Thankfully that is going away bit by bit.

Yeah, she has great information. Too bad the government didn’t seem to want to do anything with it. Steven Emerson in his video and book Jihad in America is quite revealing, too. He was very early on this stuff, long before 9/11 happened.

And no, I haven’t seen anyone advocating that kind of violence. I’m sure if anyone did, they wouldn’t be here for long... :-)

Massachusetts is already a Homosexual State. I hate to see California slide down that same cloacal tube but it seems to be the wave of the future there. But about the time California gets to Massachusetts level the state will be bankrupt, anyway.

“Why all the threats?”

I don't have any info that anyone else doesn't have, and I don't pretend to have a crystal ball.

However.

I have a hunch that a lot of the “threats” are phony and are simply an excuse to increase the power of the Police State that the Democrats have created. If you are going to have a Welfare State, then you must have a Police State to enforce it, otherwise the people paying the bills might say “NO” at some point. Now that the country is moving from a simple Welfare State to a totally Fascist State, the powers that be will need a stronger Police State. And to do that without resistance requires some phony rationale.

Love your tagline. Naturally he can’t recognize anti-Americanism; he’s not even an American citizen.

Frustrating, isn't it.

Don't worry. Our slide toward Mexification is happening much faster than our slide toward homosexualization these days, and Mexicans don't like gays.
