Obama sets up national network to help policy agenda (Organizing for America)
Los Angeles Times ^ | Jan. 18, 2009 | Peter Wallsten

Posted on 01/17/2009 10:45:01 PM PST by FocusNexus

The network, Organizing for America, will be a tool to press for policy. It reportedly will have an annual budget of $75 million, making it an unprecedented standing political army for a president.

Telling millions of campaign supporters that "what you built can't stop now," President-elect Barack Obama today took his first public steps toward transforming his massive grass-roots political machinery into an unprecedented national network to help pass his policy agenda.

Obama is calling the new network Organizing for America, and while he described it as a tool to press for policies such as fixing the healthcare system, ending the Iraq war and finding new energy sources, he also said the effort would be housed in a distinctly partisan place: the Democratic National Committee.

That means the organization, as it grows, will be well positioned to form the structure of his reelection campaign in four years while also bolstering campaigns of Obama-friendly Democrats in the 2010 midterm elections and putting pressure on those in his party who do not agree with him.

Imagine how much easier it will be to do that now that they own the government, from top to bottom. Party organizations parallel to state agencies are a major feature of totalitarian movements in our lifetime

Put together with his Civilian Police Force - "Just as big, just as well funded...as the military..." and the indoctrination of the school kids - "Alpha - Omega - Alpha - Omega ... I will be ...because of Obama..."

I wouldn't live in a big city...at least it'll take a while for them to totally take over the hinterlands.

Plant gardens, folks. Their plans include controlling the food supplies - and those that store against a rainy day will be labeled "hoarders" and it will be a crime. They will come for your storage to 'share' with others who didn't "keep their lamps full and an extra container of oil."

I remember reading about the above in the lead up to YK2000. I'm sure it's still on the books.

The trucking industry is teetering on the edge of total collapse. You hear nothing about it in the news nor from DC. I suspicion they have plans to nationalize the industry "to save us" = and thus will control all distribution of goods, starting with food. It's part of the Communist/Marxist operational tenets. "Control the food supply, rule the people."

Remember, IF YOU BOUGHT IT, A TRUCK BROUGHT IT...and there are 2 days of food supply in your super market.

If you don't provide the bulk of your food, you WILL dance to their tune.

Even without the above scenario - if the economy continues to tank - it will make the last Great Depression look like the good old days. In the 30-40's, some 86% of the population were rural and could provide for most of their own food needs. Today, it's about reversed - and less than 20% can.

I lived on a farm with my grandparents in the 30-40's. Times were tough. But our table always had abundant food on it. It came from our gardens, grammie's gleaming jars of 'canned' vegetables and fruit, our fruit trees and berry bushes; butter, milk, beef and pork from the barn, chicken and eggs from the coop, meat and fish from the woods and waters. 'Dry" goods, like flour, sugar, we traded butter for at the general store.

The forest supplied 'free' heat, we had our own well water and kerosene lamps.

We lived in a house built by my great grandfather in 1848. There was never a mortgage to pay - or be foreclosed on. There was little to no dependency on the outside world to meet our needs, (there's a world of difference between needs and wants...something todays folk don't understand.)

Hang on, folks, we are in for a bumpy ride.

“Sounds like the organized Communist Party cells in the former Soviet Union”

Correct. This is a neighborhood watch like Cuba. Rat out dissenters to the police.

I pity my neighborhood watcher. Better be able to fall 5000 feet and swim 10 miles to shore.

They will have to swear the same fealty to Obama and Company or be left standing outside the door come the next election.

You make some excellent points. People on FR are hoping that Obama and the Dems, particularly the Senate Dems, will have so much sparring going on between them that nothing gets done. But what they don't realize is that the Dems, including the Senate Dems, are no match for the man they helped put into power.

Obama is extremely ruthless and he is driven by one thing: a will to power. He's a sociopath, and to some extent, will let the actual policies be determined by the radicals who used him to take over the government of the US. But the thing that is really important to him is that he be the one in charge, and that's why we have this insane pressure for personal loyalty. Not to a party, not even to an ideology, but to "The One."

He's not even in office yet, and the Senate Dems have lost every argument they have had with him in this short time (over things like Burris, etc.). I think even some of them are becoming afraid that they have created a monster.

Yes, I’m suspect Dr. Deminstein is realizing his mistake, or will shortly. “It lives!”

We’d better get our representatives to write legislation to block this. Interlocking directorates between business governmet and NGOs is blatant fascism. They don’t even try to put lipstick on the pig anymore.

But what they don't realize is that the Dems, including the Senate Dems, are no match for the man they helped put into power.

Certain Dems will only be useful to him as long as they toe his line. If they go off the reservation, this DNC organization (3 million emailers strong) will go to work to unseat them with someone who WILL toe the line.

There will be little Dem opposition tolerated-the Dems on the left and the right of O will be threatened with extinction. Hopefully enough Dems will realize this in time to ally with the GOP to defeat the most far left policies. If they don't, they'll either be forced to be puppets for survival or will NOT be supported by the party for re-election.

Same with the press. In order to get favored treatment, presstitutes will have to be allies of Obama. He will freeze them out if they aren't. Most will sacrifice their integrity to be loved by the O.

He won’t get away with it. It won’t be long before the Dems get pissed at him

He will if he gets to keep his 'horseshoe nail' -

We must call/email/freep each and every rep and make sure he cannot sidestep the security issues concerning his Blackberry. He is not being adamant on keeping it for fun - but as an untraceable, unaccounted for communication link to the new 4th Branch of Gov't - and the total take over of the county by his Puppet Masters, who have worked for decades to rule America.

Below is a piece I have written. It's long and you may not bother to read it. Either way, you won't be able to say: "I had no idea."

January 18, 2009

AMERICA – TEETERING ON THE EDGE

copyright M.T. (but feel free to forward to your reps)

Obama is forming a fourth branch of government. This is his rationale for hanging on to his blackberry – to by-pass normal channels, security be damned, to run his puppet gov’t without input or accountability by endrunning the Judicial, Executive and Legislative branches of LEGAL gov’t.

His Blackberry is his horseshoe nail and may be the only thing standing between us and the take-over of our country. (see concerning Blackberry further on.)

story with excerpts, in [...[, from

Los Angeles Times:

By Peter Wallsten

January 18, 2009

peter.wallsten@latimes.com

[“Obama sets up national network “to help policy agenda” he says.]

And just what are the 3 LEGAL branches of gov’t for?

[“Obama said Organizing for America, the new network, would be used as a tool to press for policies on major issues, including the healthcare system, the Iraq war and the development of new energy sources. He also said the effort would be housed in a distinctly partisan place: the Democratic National Committee”]

[“Organizing for America, the new group… will employ a full-time staff of hundreds of professional organizers -- possibly an average of between one and two workers per congressional district in certain politically important states. One source said that Obama aides have discussed an annual budget of $75 million -- an unprecedented standing political army that will await orders from a president. “]

["The movement you've built is too important to stop growing now," Obama said in a video announcement posted on YouTube and linked from an e-mail sent to more than 13 million supporters.”]

["We can succeed only if we build grass-roots support for the administration's agenda,"]

THAT IS: they can “succeed” (translation: control/take over) by establishing a private gov’t – separate and unaccountable to and from the 3 legal branches of gov’t.

??? WHO is going to stand up and say WTF! Who is going to declare and rule this unconstitutional? WHO is going to report and demand it’s demise? WHERE are the REAL reporters?

Red State America, Republicans and conservatives are about to be shut down. There should be alarm bells blasting across this country.

(One can still pray that the SCOTUS will, at the last minute, hear one of the many suits being brought before it to force the verification of this man’s legal eligibility to be president: via a legal birth cert.)

Again:

Obama is forming a fourth branch of government. This is his rationale for hanging on to his blackberry – to bypass normal channels, security be damned, to run his puppet gov’t without input or accountability by end-running the Judicial, Executive and Legislative branches of LEGAL gov’t.

He says it’s so he can stay in touch with “The people” – but it’s intent it to stay in touch with only HIS people. The POTUS can call a news conference and speak with “The People” anytime he wants to. He does not need a Private Branch of Gov’t.

TAKE AWAY his blackberry on security grounds. It will give the exact location of the POTUS at any given time. It’s a question of protecting the President of the United States. He is not bigger than the office. Yet.

It’s a question of security for this nation. No blackberry and he will be restricted to communicating and receiving communication with oversight from the cabinet and protection of the office. AND not be able to run his private government…without any oversight.

His Blackberry is his connection to people – his puppeteers = who have spent their lives in pursuit of taking over America. His blackberry provides the strings of control.

If we do ONE thing to keep this country from being taken over completely, or delaying it enough for people to wake up and act in time to push back the takeover – that ONE thing is the first seemingly insignificant step of making him relinquish his blackberry – which should be done on the grounds of security of the POTUS. He is not higher than the office.

Imagine how much easier it will be to do that now that they own the government, from top to bottom. Party organizations parallel to state agencies are a major feature of totalitarian movements in our lifetime

Put together with his Civilian Police Force - "Just as big, just as well funded...as the military..." and the indoctrination/hypnotic programming of the school kids - "Alpha - Omega - Alpha - Omega ... I will be ...because of Obama..."

Once again, a nation stands at the mercy of a ‘horseshoe nail.” (see my post #50.)

The only shot we're going to get at stopping this total takeover is to INSIST - TODAY - that for the security of the office of the President, he must not be allowed to keep his Blackberry. (Such a device can be pinpointed to locate the subjects exact location - EXACT.

That is a major security breech. And an unprecedented danger to the POTUS.

He is NOT bigger than the office - yet/

His Blackberry is his horseshoe nail. Without it, he can't run his 4th Reich/branch of gov’t. He will be contained within the confines or our legal branches of government.

We stop this now = on the grounds of security of the POTUS - not bringing up the rest now, as that would create chaos, which would defeat our defeating him...

Write your reps, the friendly media and insist that he must give up his Blackberry as a matter of security for the office. Make it look like he's acting like a teenager in a tantrum: “I want my Blackberry!”

If he gets to keep it, that will enable him, and his Puppeteers, to set up their 4th Reich. Then, folks, will be way to late to stop it...or ‘counteract’ it.

It will be time to head for the hills or learn how to salute and obey.

It's our call. But the window is short. Let's make Obama and his Puppet Masters lament their history as: "there but for the want of a Blackberry..."

He is entirely clueless about the amount of email that gets sent ...

He is not clueless. The reasons he gives are smoke and mirrors.

The clueless ones are those who take what he says at face value. We must NOT.

He insistence on keeping his Blackberry is far more sinister

What you say about the press is very true. I read here a few days ago that he is not permitting journalists who he believes were critical (well, less than adoring) of him to ask questions in the press conferences. Some of them are grumbling, but clearly, the pressure is such that pretty soon it’s going to be smiley faces all around and there won’t be a hint of dissent.

LOL! Great way of putting it.

Actually, he's a sociopath - and they'll be anything the folks who can give them power want them to be. The problem is that at some point, they can't get quite enough power to satisfy that urge, and they turn on the people who got them there. We shall see if this happens in Obama's case.

But you're right. He's really nothing, deep down inside.

"I don’t know how the Dems can stand against this "

The congressional Rats are intimidated that, if they oppose the Obammunist, he will use his JungenObamaSoldaten to run opposition candidates against them in the primaries.

Hussein is already organized nationwide for the next House elections.

His continued campaign mode, and there will be many, many "propaganda" faux press conferrences, is for the out year congressional elections.
