WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) When Joe Biden U.S. senator and Delaware resident was running late for his trip to Washington, the train conveniently was delayed by some unknown mechanical difficulty.
Biden, now vice president-elect, joked on Saturday that Amtrak conductor Gregg Weaver and his colleagues often found a way to make sure he made the train.
"There was always some mechanical difficulty that lasted for a minute or two," Biden said with a smile. "I have to admit that now."

Lord help us....
Biden funny? nah.
That he it a complete jerk should come as no surprise.
Did he drop by Katie’s Restaurant and Home Depot to say goodbye to all his friends?
President Bush would never have done that.
Were I a commuter, I’d back-bill this SOB.
What a dick. Seriously.
It always seemd to me that it was an incredible inefficient use of an U.S. Senator’s time to spend several hours a day sitting on a train. Was he too cheap to buy a condo in D.C.? We know Biden certainly wasn’t given the money instead to charity.
I used to see that jerk walking on the platform toward his AMTRAK train as I sat in my commuter MARC train...quite a bit less comfort I may add.
Can’t believe this clown is VP. From the most powerful VP to the most incompetent in one election. Amazing.
A fitig send off would have been a one way ticket to Kabul.
What an idiot, No wonder Obama picked him, he wont have to listen to any advice this fool might offer.
I have often heard the Vice Presidency isn’t worth a bucket of warm spit. Slow Joe will surely prove that
exactly. not sure if Biden did this for all 30 years or so. but pu-leez.
Scum.
What a jack@$$.....
