Barack Obama preens, and garners this sort of headline: "Sources: Obama ready to ban harsh interrogations":
President-elect Barack Obama is preparing to prohibit the use of waterboarding and other harsh interrogation techniques by ordering the CIA to follow military rules for questioning prisoners, according to two U.S. officials familiar with drafts of the plans.
Of course, there is one very big catch:
However, Obama's changes may not be absolute. His advisers are considering adding a classified loophole to the rules that could allow the CIA to use some interrogation methods not specifically authorized by the Pentagon, the officials said. ...
For Obama, who repeatedly insisted during the 2008 presidential campaign and the transition period that "America doesn't torture," a classified loophole would allow him to follow through on his promise to end harsh interrogations while retaining a full range of presidential options in conducting the war against terrorism.
The proposed loophole, which could come in the form of a classified annex to the manual, is designed to satisfy intelligence experts who fear that an outright ban of so-called enhanced interrogation techniques would limit the government in obtaining threat information that could save American lives. It would also preserve Obama's flexibility to authorize any interrogation tactics he might deem necessary for national security.
Now, that's "change you can believe in!" Obama's hypocrisy on this issue is identical to John McCain's.
Suddenly, Obama realizes that if he follows-through on his promises to close Gitmo and end interrogation that his legacy may be another 9/11.
It proves he is already creating his legacy and he is not even sworn in yet.

Then, in THEIR crowd, they turn around and re-word exactly what you have said in their own way and voila! THEY’VE come up with something SMART!!!

Make sure interrogators are the poofties who will enlist in droves. An hour in a room with those bitch queens will have terrorists selling out their own mothers.

That’s sorta good news, actually. “Being President” does bring a sense of “reality” to the situation and what things were said in the campaign are found to be not workable in real life. So, if Obama is finding this out, so much the better.
Another thing that I thought would be applicable, too — in terms of what Obama said he wanted to so — was that the really serious problems that we’re having with the economy will sidetrack Obama from many of the other things he was talking about, in order to concentrate on the economy. So, it could turn out that the bad economy is a blessing for conservatives, in serving to limit the abilities of Obama to do all that he might have wanted to do (that conservatives wouldn’t like).
Of course, it won’t totally limit his hand and turn him into a conservative (LOL...), but it will help a little bit...

And if our demands are not met this scene shall be repeated again and again...
