Problem being that “young Catholics” are the children of CINOs. A damn shame, as Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Jersey would be solidly Republican states if white Catholics voted like white evangelicals.

Not all of ‘em are. My husband and I teach 8th grade faith formation at our parish—Confirmation prep. Some of the parents are definitely CINOs, but the overwhelming majority of the parents are very involved in their faith. It shows in the kids.
