WASHINGTON (AP) Republican senator Mel Martinez of Florida says he will support Attorney General-nominee Eric Holder, putting him a big step closer to confirmation.
Holder met with Martinez morning Friday while the Senate Judiciary Committee held a second day of hearings on his nomination.
Martinez said in a statement that he believes Holder understands the unique role of the nation's top law enforcement official and intends to vote to confirm him.

I get irritated when people wrongly claim we have a two party system but at this point I would be thrilled if there were that many.

Clearly, we are moving from a two-party system to mob-rule in Washington. The dysfunctional Repubs might as well just register as DemoRATS and be done with it.

Erick Holder and Tim Geithner are political hacks who work for the guy that hires them regardless of honesty, integrity, or fidelity of the employer or employee. Obama seems to have a problem with integrity, he is a Chicago politician with the same egregious mores.............
It will take awhile for the Sheeple to recognize the 'Cult of Obama', but like most, learning you have been a fool does not make you admit it........

Martinez is what happens when you breed RINOs with snakes, i.e., a totally useless hybrid species that devours resources, is venomous, and provides nothing useful in return.

Martinez is horrible and will probably be replaced by somebody even worse (they’ve been mentioning CRIST!).
That said, there appears to be nothing strong enough to disqualify any of Bambi’s appointees. They could be caught standing over their dead mother with a knife dripping blood and they’d still be approved.

Let’s not forget Zero’s intelligence advisor. He was running the security firm that illegally accessed Zero’s Clinton’s and McCain’s passport info.

There are 30 conservatives tops in the Senate. Then there are 11 liberal Republicans. The rest are socialists.
How's that GOP big tent looking these days, eh?

Is he leaving?
I was wondering how a Republican Senator from Florida could support someone who helped send Elian Gonzales back to the Cuban gulag.
To: guinnessman
The numbskull announced he won’t seek reelection, praise be to all that is Good.
