CC was doomed when Best Buy came onto the scene. We filled our first house with quality, affordable appliances from CC. Been in one lately?

I bought a digital camera there and was disappointed when the memory card advertised on the display (and box) wasn’t in there.
The manager said just because it was advertised doesn’t mean its actually in there.
Good riddance, maybe this will help Compusa get stronger

I guess CC firing their best employees awhile back had nothing to do with it.

The Best Buy and HH Gregg in North Randall have been gone for quite a while. Couldn’t compete, and when the neighborhood changed completely? In my little suburban town, we have a Lowe’s and a Home Depot within 1/2 mile of each other.

CC was doomed when Best Buy came onto the scene. Isn't Best Buy also on the skids?
It seems every 5 or so years all the big box electronics stores (i.e. The Wiz) go under, only to be replace by a similar cookie cutter stores later

CC was doomed when they canned all their top salesmen and replaced them with with millennials that knew little and cared less. I used to buy all my electronics from them because they had people who could answer your questions. After the salesman massacre it was a waste of time to even try to get info from the replacements. I actually stood there and listened to some ten year old tell me one lie after another about a Panny LCD TV. Being a videophile I had a good understanding of the TV and its potential and this idiot knew nothing, but that didn't stop him from "explaining" what the TV could do, all of which was wrong. I felt sorry for the average shopper who would have depended on this little s**t to help them with their buying decision.

We have a CC and a Best Buy across the street from one another.
I much, much prefer going to the CC. The prices are lower, the selection is just as good, and I don’t get blasted by mind-numbing, ear-shattering Hip Hop crap every time I walk in the door.
