DOBBS: The Defense Department has issued a warning about new security threats to this country. The Defense Department report shows Mexico and Pakistan could face a rapid and sudden collapse. Joining me now is Fred Burton, vice president for counter terrorism and corporate security at Statfor, also a former state department counterterrorist official.
This is stark. ... this is truly troubling, that a -- one of our two closest neighbors could be facing this level of trouble.
BURTON: Yes, it's no surprise to us at Stratford, we've been following this for quite sometime. The collapse in Mexico is quite systemic. You have the narco terrorist violence....the tactics we're seeing with the beheadings and head placed in coolers, police officers deflecting to the United States. This is a national security problem, Lou.
DOBBS: ... Felipe Calderon and Barack Obama met this week without any public statements about the issues. Mainstream media in this country, so-called national press corps, is doing everything it seems capable of doing to ignore the story of Mexico.
BURTON: I don't know why we haven't gotten more coverage on this. As I travel around the country ... I think most people fail to recognize what's taking place in Mexico and the homeland security threat this poses. As well as the interface between the cartels in Mexico and the criminal gangs inside the United States. Basically, Mexico, violence narcos, control the drug distribution system inside the United States.
A federal judge upheld Arizona's prosecution of individuals who conspire with human smuggling rings. This ruling means those who hire smugglers to bring in illegal aliens, into the state of Arizona, are now accountable, under Arizona smuggling laws. Ethnocentric special interest groups sued to block enforcement of the Arizona law

Sudden collapse, oh no! What will we do?! Guess we better warn Cali and Texas about the influx of Mexicans, oh wait, that’s been happening for 100 years.
What is your point?
Looks like a chance to grab some oil fields. Too bad the Chicoms are probably already on their way.
Now how is this different from the current state of Mexico?
The Pakistan thing would be scary though.
My point, its to early for a point.
Pakistan has a butt load of radical mohammedans, and the Bomb!
???
As, meanwhile, we here in the United States are faced with a slow and gradual collapse.
Probably they are meeting to discuss what percentage of the drug money Obama will get for letting the big cartels operate with impunity, while independent operators are jailed.
I'm sure there are plenty of clinton advisers to advise Obama on this matter, not to speak of the Chicago Mafia.
“My point, its to early for a point.”
Too early? The organized crime coming out of Mexico is killing Americans by the hundreds.....too early?
The glorified rent-a-cops at our airports are unleashed on us, and the gangs and illegal immigrants operate with impunity. That’s the ticket.
All this talk about Mexico and one other nation ready to go belly up, kind of reminds me of that Biblical statement about the person who sees the splinter in someone else’s eye, but can’t see the post in their own.
Point taken.
A Mexican economic collapse could lead to tens of dollars in losses.
I fear that millions more Mexicans would cross the border if Mexico collapses — it would be an invasion. Time to stock up, um, supplies.
It's a pretty poor transcription ... STRATFOR is referred to as "Statfor" and "Stratford" within the same short excerpt.
Oh come on, it’s hundreds and you know it. ;-)
Glenn Beck said today Mexico is on the verge of complete collapse which would put cartels in control.
