EL RENO, Okla. — A man being sought in connection with the deaths of an Oklahoma woman and her four young children was captured in Texas on Tuesday night after a car accident, authorities said.

Joshua Steven Durcho, 25, was taken into custody in Texas' Hamilton County, said Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown.

A Texas Department of Public Safety communications officer in Waco, who declined to give his name, said Durcho was injured in a one-vehicle accident. Authorities checking his identity determined he was wanted by Oklahoma authorities.

Prosecutors earlier Tuesday charged Durcho with five counts of first-degree murder after an El Reno police officer conducting a welfare check found Summer Garas, 25, and her four children dead in her apartment Monday afternoon. The children ranged in age from 3 to 7.

Those poor little children. Someone should accidentally hit the creep in the head with a brick a few dozen times ... save the state some time and money.

I believe this was another “mama’s boyfriend” situation.

From the article:

"We don't know if it's a domestic that went terribly wrong," she said. "I know they had their ups and downs in their relationship."

How about a viewing audience of single mothers, who might learn something and save their children’s lives.

The VIEW hags are still in an uproar over Ann Coulter describing the prison population is filled with children of single mothers.... Liberals view single motherhood as a badge of honor... and chances are this guy was raised by a single mom.

This seems like a perfect example of a death penalty crime.

I seriously doubt it would have any affect.

Dear Lord - another boyfriend/ex-inmate gone mad over kids-not-his-own living with a woman who thought she needed a man.

As my mother always told me “better to be alone than to be in bad company..”

I’m not so sure it would work. Any parent who doesn’t already understand that their only responsibility is to ensure the well being of their children, isn’t going to be convinced by watching the outcome of someone else’s failing.

Liberals view single motherhood as a badge of honor

It's funny to me how much libs defend, and in many cases promote, single motherhood while at the same time being so pro-abortion. One would think they would look at the women who chose life as traitors to the cause.

That being said, I am a single mom and I think it's impossible to lump single moms all together as one demographic. I don't defend or promote my single mom-hood. I wouldn't wish my struggles on anyone, but my daughter is in private school and I'm in graduate school, and we're doing okay. I have about as much in common with a teenage single mom from the projects as I do with Murphy Brown.

You're right. There are single (never-married) mothers who otherwise demonstrate reasonably good judgment and act sensibly, and then there are 25-year-olds with four kids who let a violent ex-con move in with them.

Ann's point to the View hags was that liberals promote the ideology that a father is NOT necessary. Yet they never accept the responsibility of what their top down promotion is about, not what is best for raising of the child but their own personal fulfillment.

And I am sure if you could choose the perfect scenario for your child it would be better for the child to have that 'real' man be there. But because of the acceptance and indeed the promotion of liberalism through their required absence of the father figure since the 60's for welfare benefits it has become the supposed norm.

And by result of 'government' mandated benefits too many males have been brought up to NOT have a male in their lives to set the responsible example.

I like Ann, and I agree with her that the lib view that fathers are not necessary is completely outrageous and untrue. Lib women/feminists hate men, plain and simple. Most women, thankfully, do not.

I most definitely wanted my child's father in the picture. Actually, it never occurred to me that he wouldn't be in the picture. I wouldn't wish the stresses of single-parenthood on my worst enemy, but I'm responsible for my child and she is my priority.

What boils my blood is the number of women I know who "live" with their child's father but do not "marry" their child's father so they can receive a childcare subsidy. It's sickening. Libs don't believe their policies have helped to create a terrible breakdown of the family? They're nuts. And anyone who doesn't marry because they'll miss out on free $$ from the government needs to take a hard look at themselves. And women with children who live with any old man with a criminal record who comes down the pike are unfit parents and should have their children taken away. That is child endangerment.
