In what will be a Lincoln-themed inauguration from top to bottom, Obama won't only follow in the footsteps of the former president - he'll also eat like him, it was announced yesterday.
Obama's jampacked Abe-apalooza moved into high gear with an announcement from the Congressional Inaugural Committee that it will hold a luncheon next Tuesday following the swearing-in ceremony that's modeled after foods Lincoln enjoyed.

This is theater. "The One" could very well be taking the Lincoln imagery that far. After all, what should Obama fear... he's "The One".

So, Obama's going to eat what Lincoln eat? That's too funny since it's been documented that Lincoln pretty much lived on hard boiled eggs and toast, punctuated with regular doses of
Blue Mass.

Say what you will but Lincoln still didn’t have much use for the constitution, that is fact.

Say what you will but Lincoln still didnt have much use for the constitution, that is fact. Depends on which Southern myth you subscribe to. I think it's undeniable that Lincoln had more respect for our Constitution than the Southern leadership had for theirs.

I think it's undeniable that Lincoln had more respect for our Constitution than the Southern leadership had for theirs.Jefferson Davis even went as far to utter this brazen quote when running roughshod over the reb constitution:
"the [government's] right need only be stated to be admitted,"
Those are the words of a class-A tyrant. Imagine if Lincoln had said that! DiLorenzo would not even have the need to work to misrepresent such a quote had it come from Lincoln.

Is this Lincoln Inaugural going to conclude in a theater? Just after the Civil War that's coming.

I finally found the connection!
From wikipedia:
Lincoln's parents were fundamentalist Hard-shell Baptists. However, historian Dr. Mark Noll states that "Lincoln never joined a church nor ever made a clear profession of standard Christian belief."

Guess they’ll never mention that Abe was the first Pubbie President.

Obama doesn't have an original thought in his head.
He can't shape his own Presidency,so he will have the people believe he is like Lincoln.
What a phony!

“Abe-apalooza” ???
What an irritating newspaper. What a huge “presidential” ego.

Is this to suggest that a crook bought Lincoln a mansion, too?

Lincoln had to fight the Civil War. I had no idea things were that bad.
Actually, I’m happy to have a minority President in the White House. It demonstrates, once again, that this is a land of opportunity.
