That’s what I presumed as well (the getting lucky part). I’ve heard the stories from back in the late 60s, and early 70s about all the guys who claimed to be so “into” the whole Free Love thing, and all the protests and such simply because they KNEW they could - as you put it - get lucky... I seriously wonder just how much these kids really understand about what it is they are supposedly fighting for. It’s sad, really...

As for our freedoms being our downfall - there was a protester in New York a couple years ago as I recall that said precisely that. Calling us stupid for having such a thing as Freedom of Speech because it simply helped THEM in their PR efforts here. So much for liberals who supposedly value our Constitution. What these kids don’t realize is that the First Amendment they claim to hold so dear will be the FIRST thing to go should their heroes be in charge (witness the “Fairness Doctrine” which they’ve been led to believe is a GOOD thing...).

So incredibly frustrating... As Lenin so aptly observed - there is never a shortage of useful idiots.
