SANTA ANA, Calif. Pelicans suffering from a mysterious malady are crashing into cars and boats, wandering along roadways and turning up dead by the hundreds across the West Coast, from southern Oregon to Baja California, Mexico, bird-rescue workers say. Weak, disoriented birds are huddling in people's yards or being struck by cars. More than 100 have been rescued along the California coast, according to the International Bird Rescue Research Center in San Pedro. Hundreds of birds, disoriented or dead, have been observed across the West Coast. "One pelican actually hit a car in Los Angeles,"

BEES ARE ALSO DISAPPEARING..
NaturalNews) As the disappearance of honeybees continues, researchers are trying desperately to discover the cause of Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD). General concensus at this point is that there is more than once cause and the latest culprit may be genetically modified crops. This is one area of research being neglected as mainstream scientists insist GM crops are safe.
For the last 100 years, beekeepers have experienced colony losses from bacteria, (foulbrood), mites (varroa and tracheal) and other pathogens. These problems are dealt with by using antibiotics, miticides and and other methods of pest management. Losses are slow and expected and beekeepers know how to limit the destruction.
This new mass die-off is different in that it is virtually instantaneous with no warning of the impending collapse.

Bees are a concern.
Hmmmm, over the holidays it was the Yellowstone Supervolcano we had to worry about, now its mass dying of pelicans and bees. Of the two, I’ll take the mass dying of pelicans and bees, it beats the mass dying of.....well....everything.
I am waiting for the first “scientist” to attribute it to global warming.
I’ll attribute it to Global....
.....
...Cooling.
Let me be the first to say it, “It is Bush’s fault”.
Bees have been in trouble for a long time. My colonies began to die out in the early to mid nineties. My efforts to establish new sustained colonies were not successful.
Wild swarms were very common and a major source of new bees. There are now none. No wild swarms
Call Rush. He loves pelicans. He’ll put a stop to this!:)
dammit.
Strange to be growing old in a world where bees face extinction. I remember being stung plenty as a kid (not that I blame the bees).
The summer of 07 was not good for bees in W NY. The summer of 08 was much better.
“As the genetically modified plant grows, these Bt genes are replicated in every cell of the plant, including pollen. Therefore, every cell of each GM plant contains its own poison aimed to kill the target insect.”
So, we eat this stuff, too? Yummy!

“As God is my witness...”
You likely have a neighbor with bees.
Perhaps he’ll help you get started.
There is no small hive. The number of bees begins small but rapidly increases. When the number and wealth increases to an agreed on level, the colony splits.
Second-hand smoke! Second-hand smoke! Gotta be! Just gotta be! I know it!
