WASHINGTON – Advisers to President-elect Barack Obama say one of his first duties in office will be to order the closing of the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay. That executive order is expected during Obama's first week on the job — and possibly on his first day, according to two transition team advisers. Both spoke Monday on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.
Obama's order will direct his administration to figure out what to do with the estimated 250 al-Qaida and Taliban suspects and potential witnesses who are being held at Guantanamo.
It's still unlikely the prison would be closed any time soon.

I propose that the Messiah move the Gitmo prisoners in with him and his shrew. They should all feel comfortable together since they all want to destroy the USA. They have a lot in common.

Remember the most important word to Obama is the word:
"re-election"
Gitmo has become a lightning rod to the media and distracts from Obama's other goals.
Obama maintains a campaign promise and quiets the radical left that own his presidency with a very clever out-of-sight-out-of-mind strategy.
Obama and Michelle are nearly as craft as Billary and are learning quickly.
Why is he so obsessed with that? I think that’s his top priority over anything else. Some of his friends must be in there or friends of some of his campaign donors.

I propose that he sends all the Gitmo inmates to Cook County, IL where the Messiah comes from. That way he can demonstrate that he won’t dump anything on other communities that he wouldn’t dump on his own.
I take it that all these terrorists will be moved to the DC community.
I don’t want any of them anywhere near me and my family.
Gitmo is a pander in and of itself. All their food is “halal”, they get prayer rugs and pretty much everything there is in accordance with Islamic rituals.
These people should have been executed on the battlefield as saboteurs.
Instead we tried to make the world think we were “Islamic friendly” and it backfired.
How soon? Depends on how major an attack. Anything big would be in planning now. I think 6 months for anything big. Of course suicide bombers are easy to plan

And what if they figure out "hey, holding them at Gitmo is the thing to do," then what? For face saving purposes, they'll recommend building a Gitmo-like facility elsewhere. 'Cause even Bambi knows if one of these berks gets released then shows up at a terrorist attack, not even the MSM can save his hide.
