CONCORD, N.H. The first openly gay Episcopal bishop will offer a prayer at the Lincoln Memorial at an inaugural event for President-elect Barack Obama.
The selection of New Hampshire Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson for Sunday's event follows weeks of criticism from gay-rights groups over Obama's decision to have the Rev. Rick Warren give the invocation at his Jan. 20 inauguration.
Warren backed the ban on same-sex marriage that passed in his home state of California on the November ballot.

"Robinson said he doesn't yet know what he'll say, but he knows he won't use a Bible. 'While that is a holy and sacred text to me, it is not for many Americans,' Robinson said. 'I will be careful not to be especially Christian in my prayer.' Robinson said his prayer will be reflective of the times." Isn't that special?
The Episcopal Church (TEC) is collapsing because heretics and sodomites such as Vicki Gene Robinson have gained control of the instruments of power within the denomination.

Sounds a lot like denying Christ to pray at the alter of Inclusiveness. And this man is supposed to be a Bishop. Can’t remember off the top of my head which circle of hell Dante put church leaders ...

he won't use a BibleRight! I would be scared of fire from heaven. He is a bishop? Big deal! Even the demons believe - and tremble! (Jas. 2:19).
Is a little hail mingled with fire rained down from heaven on D.C. on January 20th, too much to ask, Lord?

“”While that is a holy and sacred text to me, it is not for many Americans”
Liberals always like to use these disclaimers. They apologize for their faith, they knock it, they pretend it’s not an essential element as to what humanity should be about. They’re third-rate Christians, if you can call them that—ashamed of the gospel and ashamed of its message.
Paul warns about believers being ashamed of Christ and the scriptures in II Timothy. The fact that this bozo who runs around in the garments of a bishop feels as if these words need to be the first out of his mouth—that he will pray for non-Christians—speaks to the insincere and shaky foundation of his faith.
It also points out the true travesty of “diversity,” in that it has become almost impossible to stand up for what you believe on principle. “Oh, we need to be more understanding! -—> a few years down the road becomes “Change who you are to accomodate others.”
