My impression though more directly is a subtle hint the enemy is close at hand, very close at hand.

Yes, I think you are correct, sadly. It feels like the scary “Lord of the Rings” scenes when the the monsters are being created by Sauron. I fear for our nation.

W should have listed the attempted attacks that have been foiled on his watch since 9/11.

What are MS-13 members, choir boys?

Here stands the last White-Male-Christian-Heterosexual President in the history of this country.

Might also add, pro life and pro Second Amendment.

I’m not sure I’m willing to go that far given his successor.

G.W. Bush deserves kudos for lots of things, including the War on Terror

He also deserves to be castigated for his War on Fiscal Conservatism.

His exit won't be soon enough.

I do not agree with President Bush on some things, but he withstood the fiery darts of the liberal liars better than even the liberals can withstand their own circular firings.

I am thankful to have had him instead of algore or jfkerry as their policies would already have the majority of US feeding at 'soup' kitchens.

‘...He also managed to single handedly destroy the Congressional Republicans....’

would you consider that Congressional Republicans destroyed themselves.....?? imo, these men and women were elected to stand up for the people.....but, some seemed to cower and cave to the Dems as soon as they got some criticism.

Sir. Have you no shame? You didn't get the memo that absolutely every bad thing that happened to the Republican Party is BUSH's fault?

Geez, you need to check the fax.

:)

I have definately not agreed with everything he has done and have had my moments of severe critism of President Bush- but I think when Obama officially takes over it won’t be long before many Americans only wish they could have President Bush back. I think as a country we have surely jumped out of the frying pan and right into the fire.

He did the best thing, avoiding the press.

The press is what’s ruined the GOP. They brought down our majority in congress with their “no gridlock” “do nothing” smears. They brought down some of our greatest leaders, Sara being the most recent.

I think he knew that you can’t win with a bias activist press.

Funny in a pathetic sort of way.

Have to wonder about people who lives their lives in a state of perpetual anger.

Makes me wish Kerry won

Kerry as President on 9/11/01 and making the decisions that have had to be made since that date regarding terrorism would have been a nightmare for this country. If Kerry had been elected I'm not sure we would have had a country left to hand over to anyone.

I still have pics with our son shaking his hand..

What a great picture that must be. 8 years is just a blink in the great scheme of things.

Millions will be forever grateful, not only for this President, but for fine young men like your son.

I only had a daughter and she never served but is quick to defend President Bush and his response to the 9/11 attack.

The congressional republicans --->all of them<--- were and are elected locally. Those that failed, failed by their own hand.

A local congresscritter that is so weak that dislike for the prez affects their local race, was not too strong initially.

What does it say about a voter's intelligence when a voter does not support a congresscritter because of what the prez does/does not??

I will miss President Bush

The second time I voted for him was because I felt he would do whatever it took to prevent another attack.
He did not dissappoint me, and I was able to sleep at night.
Because of him and his administration.

People have been bashing him from the very beginning.

I will be forever grateful for the eight years he gave to this country.
