Final presser of GW Bush,
begins somewhat jovial.

Wow with the amount of things that Bush had heaped on his plate, I think he did as good a job as Reagan. Imagine having to go to war with an army that was destroyed by the Clinton years. Terrible shame that Obama is planning to do the same with the Military.
Obama who never servered, Obama who faked even his selective service application is going to send our sons and daughters into certain death in the mountains of tora bora.
If you ever want a true measure of the CINC just ask the military who they would rather be commanded by. They are deathly afraid of Obama.
Actually, we may be. We'll see how much they actually end up accomplishing with their confusion and factions. They have no leader like we have had the last 8 years...only a consensus figure-head; when there's no consensus he can only flail around.
who ran roughshod over GWB
No, GWB got his way on a large amount of the big stuff.
Painting with a pretty broad brush there.
Just for starters I wouldn't consider his two Supreme Court Justices a disaster at all.
Then again, sloppy painters usually miss many spots.
I'll take that bet. I'm betting that he doesn't care a bit about the spending mess he created and the additional debt he saddled us with.
The fact that Obama will get to name the next three or four kind of makes that moot, don't you think?
Bush had it all and he blew it and it may be generations before we eeeever get another chance like the opportunity we just blew. When it came to politics the only people W was willing to attack were conservatives!
There will come a day when we will ALL wish he was still in office.
Things were moving along fairly well until JAN. 2007 and the congress took over control. and the media blames GWB for all wrongs...I will always honor, respect, and appreciate the service he and all his family member gave to our country, ONE NATION UNDER GOD.
visit the last few days of the “Day in the Life with President BUSH”, it is a peaceful change of pace from these other posts...
It been a “Blessed” site these past 8 years, and it also will come to an end.
I will! Thanks!
His exit won’t be soon enough.
Yeah, I can hardly wait to be sleeping more soundly at night knowing I am being protected by the likes of Obama, Reid, Pelosi and their ilk.
I’m with you.
Just visited your home page and “Oh how beautiful are your pups” We've had 3 schnauzers and now have a 4 yr. old soft coated wheaten terrier, how I love the Schnauzer breed, wonderful pets...our Wheaten sorta looks like a schnauzer because I cut her that way from habit!!!
daughter just moved to Cumming, GA. so we will be coming South often.
Surviving depression babies don't think so, BUT we may see one soon.
I jipped the presser by accident on the way to work. I thought he sounded like a different person... none of the uh... ahhh... heh.... uhhh... stuff because he’s starting to be able to speak as George W. Bush and not as the prime representative of the United States of America.
Re#204 You are probably right, however, as a percentage of GDP, it was not as much as others (Reagan, for example, BUT his was on defense). Oh well, we’ll be wishing for W when we see what BO and the rat controlled Congress starts...
“So according to him the GOP needs to look more out and be more inclusive, ie.e turn more liberal”
Much of his presidency involved trying to make our country more liberal. His massive expansion of education spending, his push for amnesty, his expansion of entitlements, and his wild spending habbits. The man was not a conservative. Maybe on some issues but on the balance he was a moderate. Some people love him but I will regard him as a good man but a mediocre and often misguided president. He ain’t RWR. Then again he ain’t Clinton or Carter either.
His traitor friend Scott McClellan worked for him how long?
congrats to you and your daughter,
You might wish for W to be back but I will not. I blame him for making an Obama presidency a possibility. If he'd governed as a conservative Obama would never even have had a sniff at the White House instead of now being in the position where O's mother-in-law is starting to pick out her new drapes.
AMEN to that.
How many terrorists do you suppose have streamed across our wide open border while we were being “kept safe”?
