“The word for that is “prejudice” or “bias.” “
Proud of it!
My blood serum triglycerides scream “nada”.
I agree completely on foreign languages and that there's no reason that the Girl Scouts shouldn't learn a little Spanish. My response was just to point out one of the primary reasons that all those kids in other countries are learning English rather than some other foreign language.
“Maybe get our TV & radio stations and hell why not just change over to Spanish anyway as most of of consumers, workers & voters speak it anyway.”
Anybody whom thinks this country is going to change over to Spanish is seriously delusional. As pointed out by another poster, English is the common global language.
Sounds like a porn name sounds nasty I will take a few box’s thanks
The new cookies are really good. Alas I had to spell out the name phonetically so that even the Troop Leader could pronounce it properly. There is one Spanish speaking girl in our troop, but she didn’t make the meeting Thursday evening and apparently the only other parents that know any Spanish are my husband and me.
But at least I’m not the cookie Mom this year!!!!!!
I can almost picture it.
I don't that situation has every happened to me :)
LOL - I’ll bet a dollar not more than a handful of folks here are familiar with that tasty treat.
Oh, you mean like pizza, hamburger, frankfurter, spaghetti, tacos, Gouda... I could go on. You get the picture.</
I’ve disliked several kinds of Girl Scout cookies.
Thank you Diana in Wisconsin!!
If you’re extra good, I might send you some cookies, too. :) Thanks again for all you do for us. It IS appreciated! :)
The U.S. is generally way, way, way behind other civilized countries, where kids start learning English at a very young age.
Spanish to English
dulce de leche = Candy of milk
A better translation would be 'caramel', don't you think?
I am a lifetime member of Girl Scouts and while local troops are mostly OK the nation organization has been seized by liberal wackos. At one time they were partnered with Planned Parenthood then parents and Christian media began to scream, so they pulled back. Anyone with a daughter in scouts today needs to stay vigilant.
Kalee who never met a Thin Mint she didn’t like. lol
Holy mierde, que mas?
I also dislike several kinds of GS cookies, including the ones my husband insists on always getting (I don’t like coconut)————but in general I just like cookies :)
