President George W. Bush and his family traveled to Norfolk VA today to participate in the commissioning ceremony of the George H.W. Bush (CVN 7) in Norfolk, Va. Vice President Cheney and Mrs. Cheney also attended this event.

Bush took his last official Air Force One flight on Saturday to Virginia for a ceremony to place a warship named after his father into active duty.

I saw a documentary on the building of the George H. W. Bush and was facinated to learn that President Bush's wings were placed beneath the island structure before it was put in place.

How gracious of the President to do this. And I bet his family and friends did not strip AF1 down and steal all the blankets etc as you know whose kinfolk and friends did.

watched the commission of the George H.W.Bush ship today on c~span, what a great honor for a wonderful man. I am one American who respects, honors, and supports this fine family,who were born and raised on American soil, I’m a daughter of a veteran, sister of a veteran, and wife of a veteran and today those Navy men and women showed what this country is made of. Under the leadership of GWB we have been safe and protected since 9/11/01

I love 41 too. He is awesome, as W said in his speech. His has truly been a life well lived in service to his country.
