The plan being discussed would eliminate the independent homeland security adviserâs office and assign those duties to the National Security Council to streamline sometimes overlapping functions. A deputy national security adviser would be charged with overseeing the effort to guard against terrorism and to respond to natural disasters.
Mr. Bush's aides, including the national security adviser, Stephen J. Hadley, have privately urged Mr. Obama's advisers not to get rid of the separate homeland security office, warning that it would load too many responsibilities on the National Security Council and risk important matters' falling through the cracks.

Some. His economic team is much more centrist that it could have been. And to point out one more thing - the campaign is over and he won. It's okay to say nice things about him and to support him when he does the right thing now. I just hope it's more frequently than I think it'll be.
Wrong. If anything bad happens as a result of his actions, it will be portrayed in the news as something that just "happened", the way the Burris flap was portrayed as a "dispute", not mentioning race, or party affiliation, or anything.
The prime initiative will be to keep conservative “terrorists” from obtaining his Kenyan birth certificate.
“okay to say nice things about him and to support him when he does the right thing now. “
Do you think we should support him when he is dismantling our ability to prevent terrorist attacks on the US?
Do you think we should support him, when he is trying to turn the US into an even bigger welfare state?
Do you think we should support him when he wants to implement socialized medicine, which will result in the unnecessary deaths of many as a result of rationing of health care?
Do you think we should support him in increasing the government’s role in all aspect’s of our lives?
Not when the Sears Tower is smoldering pile of debris. Obama will OWN this.
“You mean, if he SUCCEEDS and people die,”
BINGO.
I can’t believe people here “supporting Obama”.
Don’t be so sure about 0 getting re-elected. This guy is a joke before he is even sworn in. But so are the idiots who voted for him, so you do have a point.
“Not when the Sears Tower is smoldering pile of debris. Obama will OWN this.”
No, he won’t. It will be “Bush’ Fault”, because he made the terrorists mad, by his “harsh interrogation techniques” and the terrorists “merely struck back”. Obama “just happened to be president” at the time, and he will be so nice to the terrorists to make up for the harsh treatment they received from the Bush administration. He will just decide to have a summit with Bin Laden and Ahmadinejad and ask them what they wish for the US to do.
This is sarcasm, but it will be close to that, mark my words.
If we are attacked the MSM (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the DNC) will immediately lay the blame at the feet of the long-gone Bush Administration. The American Sheeple will buy the spin hook/line/sinker and Obama gets reelected with an even bigger majority than he got this time around.”
Only if FRreepers keep on dumping on Bush instead of Obama.
If the Sears Tower is a smoldering pile of debris Obama, Pennatte, Holder, Kagen, Johnsen and Ogden OWN this. Every Post you make, every conversation you have with family, friends, co-workers you should be reminding them of Obama's stupid, immature, dangerous, shortsighted choices he has made.
On the other hand, if he is successful with all his dreams and pland then we will change our designation from USA to USSA..we won’t be a republic any longer. With this maggot either way we lose.

Dept of Terrorism and Natural Disaster. That sounds just about right. After all, terrorism is really just sort of a natural disaster, isn’t it? Natural for Islamists...a disaster for us.
Uncanny likeness to what Obama will look like:
With OPEN BORDERS it will be Dept of Tourism, Terrorism and Natural Disaster
Obama wants everyone to feel welcome.
If Obama succeeds, which is almost impossible based on what I have seen of socialism, America will die. I don't see any good options here.
Although these changes would be to the president's White House staff, not the cabinet departments and agencies, the very fact that Obama wants to assign terrorism matters to a DEPUTY adviser is highly telling.
Despite the first early gushing in many quarters about how "moderate" and "centrist" Obama's appointments have been, this DEMOTION of anti-terrorism responsibilities on his own staff indicates that his anti-American Marxist tendencies are alive and well.
“Every Post you make, every conversation you have with family, friends, co-workers you should be reminding them of Obama’s stupid, immature, dangerous, shortsighted choices he has made.”
I couldn’t agree with you more.
However, if you look at the posts, there are quite a few who are reluctant to criticize Obama, want to “give him a chance”, and DO criticize Bush, but NOT Obama, wanting for “Obama to succeed” and so on, being totally oblivious to the fact that by those actions they are being complicit in Obama’s mission to turn the US into a socialist, weak country.

Obama gives outspoken ex-spy key White House job (Brennan)
“U.S. President-elect Barack Obama on Friday chose an outspoken and controversial CIA veteran as his top counterterrorism adviser, a move that could raise eyebrows but assures frank dialogue in the White House.
Since leaving government in 2005, Brennan’s writings have attracted criticism, including his suggestions the next president establish direct dialogue with Iran and encourage greater assimilation of Iranian-backed Hezbollah into Lebanon’s political system.
“I have been a strong opponent of many of the policies of the Bush administration such as the preemptive war in Iraq and coercive interrogation tactics, to include waterboarding,” Brennan said in a November 25 letter to Obama...”
Obama is making “great choices” (/sarcasm) — all people who are more interested in talking and defending terrorists, than the US AGAINST the terrorists.
